[TOW] The End of Everything

TW: Discussions of death, end of the world/doomsday. reader discretion advised.

"The moon and sun will engage in a fierce battle that will conclude with no victor. These opposing forces of light will burn out and plummet from the sky, into the unknowable depths of the sea, where they will be extinguished forever— and this shall bring about a great cataclysm."

That was the prophecy that was whispered across the way, reaching the ears of all - pack wolf, loner, or maybe even beyond. Panic, Despair, Anger, Bargaining, and many more feelings swept through the packs and wolves alike as they reacted to the news that all of their lives were going to end at the same time. Wolves flocked to their friends, family and other such loved ones as their days were numbered. Some wolves didn't believe it, but a lot did, causing the word of the end of the world to spread as fast as it did.

The End was Nigh.

Aelfric accepted his fate. He was the last wolf in his family that he was close to, and if the world was to end, the fear in his heart wasn't enough to get him to figure out a way to stop it - how could they stop the sun and moon?

Ingo's nightmares of titus returned, fearful of meeting him in any sort of afterlife. If the world was ending, the wolves could not reincarnate, and perhaps that meant all souls were sent somewhere to suffer forever. She didn't fully believe the prophecy, but the idea of it being real haunted her.

Sigrid didn't believe it fully. The talk unnerved her, but she didn't understand how their ancestors could predict the future in this way, but the coincidence of it all had her feeling unsure.

Elio and Twyla were in full belief, watching the sun and moon anxiously and not leaving each other's side - trying to make up for the time they spent apart when Elio was a loner. They spent time close to their family, too.

Siebold wanders the forest, his eyes scanning the horizon. He desperately wanted to go to the retreat to see Eliana one more time, but his pack needed him home and he was not able to go. He becomes a workaholic, resisting all inclinations to abandon Namün to see Eliana and even further beyond the way: his family. His loyalty to Namün trumped it all, though.

Koa doesn't believe any of it. they hear wolves passing by warning them of the end of the world, and they are sick of it. They continue their life, but as time goes on, the more and more that loners won't shut up about the end of the world, they feel the dread start to crawl on their skin.

Eliana has heard the most of it though. Living at the retreat means she sees many passing wolves, all talking about the end of the world. The more she hears it, the more the old wolf's gaze is affixed to the sky. The more she remembers her past. The more the Atolli fills her mind.

Eliana wonders if the Atolli were right after all, that wolfkind would die in some way, somehow. The Atolli had failed to do it themselves, so the world was going to force its hand to make sure the Atolli's job was done. Eliana did not want it to be true. But she thought maybe Wolfkind was to follow Caohr in death after all, perhaps Caohr really was dead.

She wouldn't know until everything went dark on the fateful day.

Prompt: The End of Everything

BIG ASS COMIC I DECIDED TO MAKE YAHOO!!! Everyone! Is! Here!! I loved making this esp with the symbolism of having the overpowering red representing those of my characters who believe the world is really ending, and then more normal lighting for characters who do not believe it. I worked on this all day and i am so happy with the result

Also i managed to write a little poem for this! The poem, IC, is Eliana's thoughts of it all simplified.
