[TOW] The Anointing

It was no secret that Ingo had ultimately impressed some wolves after proving her worth. She was starting to get a bit popular with the Voliels guarding the catacombs, interested in the techniques she learned from her home (while also still asserting that they were, in fact, higher status than she was). But being a full blown soldier didn't seem too much like Ingo's thing - the only conflict at home really was just Tove herself.

However, the wolf that was behind guiding Ingo around the territory and teaching her about Volaires is a Voliel but he is wise. One day while touring the territory, the talk of tasks came up for if Ingo was Anointed. Ingo expressed that she wasn't sure - her skills would lend her to be a fighter, but she wasn't sure if that's what she wanted.

"Then would Artiae Battaliant suit you more?"

"Huh?" Ingo said, confused.

"Its one of the arts roles" The older wolf would continue, "You would get to employ the skills you've displayed but without harming another wolf. It is the art of battle and a good Battaliant is well versed in fighting strategy and technique - something you displayed very well when proving yourself to the Nobles. A Battaliant doesn't use brute strength to win their battles, and also double as entertainers and boost pack morale."

"I guess I've always been more concerned over the technique than the actual fighting part..." Ingo said, "I never realized this since, well, the biggest threat in my pack was the leader herself."

"Sounds like the role suits you, Condamné" the old wolf said, "I'll say, Count Loïc seemed rather intrigued by your display from a few days ago. Maybe he sees the Battaliant skills in you."

"I'll take a few days to think on it, perhaps." Ingo said, "I should have the time."

Ingo ultimately had a lot less time than she anticipated. The day of her Anointing came quickly, and sure enough, Count Loïc was the one Anointing her. Ingo felt that things were falling into place, and she had made up her mind.

She listened closely as Loïc said his piece in the Anointing ceremony. When he was done, Ingo closed her eyes and spoke as the last drops of water washing her paint away fell from her face.

"Mon âme est Brillante et mon caraour, ma loyauté repose sur Vora, le Roi, et Volairies."

Ingo had decided - she would pursue the role of Artiae Battaliant now that she was no longer Condamné.

Prompt: The Taste of Victory

Ingo gets Anointed! Loïc seemed a little interested in Ingo's battle techniques since they seemed reminiscent to Artiae Battaliant techniques, and he decides to Anoint her in hopes she pursues that path. These two may become well acquainted in the future as Ingo ultimately decides to pursue the path after having her Voliel guide (an NPC) explain the role to her days before. So excited to have Ingo finally as an Inferi lol
