[TOW] Reflections

Prompt: One step forward, two steps back.

So much had happened since the flood. Oesis and Dimitri dead, Aesa dead, Empvoir still going strong, the tunnel in the lyceum, and now the most recent event of total misplay in Inja's Tournament and Ingo losing her eye as a result. Aelfric was frankly disgusted that that was allowed to happen, and Aelfric was rarely disgusted by things.

He decided to get some alone time up on a ledge overlooking the meadows to ponder, this location specifically as he had just been visiting the graves of Count Oesis and Aesa at Caohr's Keep. He knew something was up and that things were starting to boil over, and he had to stay as vigilant as ever. Especially now with the creeping paranoia that the Empvoir had their eyes on him after his discovery in the Lyceum. How long would his lie about his true intentions checking out the tunnel last? His stone-faced demeanor did help sell the lie, but some wolves are perceptive. He was sure some saw right through him.

It was only a matter of time before things reached a breaking point. Aelfric had to prepare.

A piece i started months ago.... by "started" i mean pasting his app art onto a canvas. But real talk he was originally supposed to be laying down but holy fuck the perspective was so difficult to do that i gave up for a bit, then saw his current app art worked pretty well for the pondering piece i wanted to make with him. Unfortunately the month was July and i was busy artfighting then i took a small art break in august but now i have finished this (with guidance from fellow group members as i couldn't decide what i wanted to draw so i put up a poll and finishing this piece won)

Obviously it is assumed that Aesa was moved from her unmarked grave to Caohr's Keep after the flood related search and rescue efforts concluded, hence why Aelfric was visiting her grave along with Oesis's.
