Description

CONTENT WARNING: Descriptions of public humiliation, violence and gore, and death by execution. Also, Ingo has some not so kind, generalizing thoughts about the Empvoir which might be a little bit of a yikes to read if you're aware of how the empvoir gained members, so just know i don't share her views on this matter. Reader discretion advised.

The Empvoir's actions did not go unpunished.

For all the hurt they caused, all the turmoil. All the anguish - they had to be. All three wolves sitting next to each other knew this, one even more eager to see the punishments than the other volaires born wolves. It was deserved for their treason.

To Aelfric, he felt disappointment, and maybe only a small bit of relief. It was disappointing that it had to come to this - public humiliation for the lower ranked wolves and outright execution, but was there any other way to make sure this didn't happen again? Aelfric could only go so long with fighting. His methods to not kill any empvoir only ended in a lost tooth and mouth pain - he barely even made it out here in the first place. Even after the last low rank wolf fled the territory and the last breath from the higher rank empvoir was taken, he didn't feel any closure. He was sure the sign from the clouds he received over a year ago was alluding to this, but he thought the same when the Atolli war happened. He felt that he would never feel completely comfortable in Volaires again.

To Ingo, this barbaric display was absolutely deserved. In her mind, all the Empvoir wolves could die and rot for all she cared - she didn't care if they knew what they got into or not. That's what they deserved for betraying their pack. It was laughable, how her own exile from her former home was somehow more noble than this. It brought her comfort that, if Titus hadn't gotten his blood spilled during the war, he would have died anyway. Good riddance to all of them. Even though she was eager to see the empvoir wolves get what she felt they deserve, she didn't feel any joy for it. She just felt cold. She wasn't a monster, at least she didn't think so, she just thought these wolves deserved this outcome for their stupidity, but maybe that's her lingering anger talking. Besides, the less of these wolves there are, the less chance of this happening ever again. She's honestly surprised she hasn't decided to leave the pack yet.

To Koa... they are horrified. They had some amount of insight to the Empvoir through Cade, but they never felt they were good at all. Koa counted all their blessings that they didn't bite the bullet and join Cade. Koa could barely watch the sight of the branding, the wolves getting their fur torn off. If they had joined with Cade, that would have been them. Maybe in a messed up way, they are also glad they accidentally killed Cade. Cade was a Baron, and would have been killed anyway. Maybe it was mercy from the gods that Koa was the one to do it instead, even if they hadn't meant to. Koa's heart lurched for any empvoir wolves who were tricked and lured into this fate by the most loyal of wolves - They knew how pushy the Empvoir wolves were.

During the whole... event... neither of the three wolves talked to each other. They sat, they watched, they thought to themselves, and once everything was over, they all nodded to each other in acknowledgement before dispersing to do their own things - Aelfric to the Lyceum to get lost in his work, Ingo to wherever the hell she felt like, and Koa back to the family den to face their father for the first time since the war ended.

Prompt: Judgement Day

OH BOY THIS ONE'S A DOOZY BOTH CANON WISE AND JUST GENERAL PROCESS WISE.

I started this in early october. I hate how the lineart came out so much which is why it took so long to finish, but Ingo came out well enough that i didn't want to redo, so i finally sat down and finished this. I wanted the accompanying lit to go with it to carry it a bit more anyway and oh boy thats a doozy

Aelfric is just disappointed and a bit tired of shit happening every damn tuesday for him. I feel really bad for him because he's trying to vibe but like... everything happened lol. Atolli war, flood, Aesa dying, this tomfoolery, yeah i dont blame him for wanting to go to the Lyceum to document the history that just happened rn.

Koa is feeling a little sick to their stomach over the whole thing, this almost became them. The war traumatized them a bit since the Atolli war happened all over again for them

Ingo.... she needs a hug and a break from the world i think because good golly. I definitely am proud of how out of place her thinking feels for her right now because that was my intent - she's a bit out of sorts but in due time she'll heal as much as she can from it... but losing vision in an eye in a very traumatic way and then following that with a war and then witnessing an execution of the wolves you developed a new hate for due to that war shortly after is NOT good for your mental health, so here's hoping for a smooth riding to recovery for her... but for now her current way of thinking might be a bit yikes

Got more things in store but its collaborative things so those will take some time, so hope you enjoy this thing that took a month to finish HEHE. very nice to have all three of my Volaires beans in a picture so soon though.
