[DOTW] Marina x Riptide Tryouts! [CLOSED]

OHOHO... WHATS THIS? @Alpha-Pepper and I bring you Marina x Riptide puppies! WOO!

There will be 4 pups in this litter, and 2 are yours to try out for! Please read the below information thoroughly before trying out!

Rules

1. This tryout is for members of Domain of the Wolf only!

2. Please avoid placing the pups on the official app sheet for your tryout.

3. Your tryout must follow character creation rules found in the DOTW Handbook.

4. Please ensure you have enough bones to purchase a new character (or a free slot) if your tryout is selected.

5. The pups will be born on July 15th, 2026. Tryouts will end July 8th at 11:59 GMT (rollover time) and winners will be announced no later than July 11th at 11:59 GMT (rollover time).

6. Entries will be judged based on activity across all characters (or overall activity if you only have one character).

7. If your pup is removed from the group for inactivity, we reserve the right to reclaim and rehome the pup regardless of age milestone.

8. You can use the premade designs OR you may make your own design.

General Notes

1. There will be four pups born to this litter, two are up for adoption and the remaining two are played by myself (Icea/EbonyShadowCat) & EternalHusky

2. The pups will be born to Fellfang Pack.

3. Both Marina and Riptide will be present and active in the pups lives, working together to raise them.

4. Marina isn't too sure on how to raise pups, and since she fears hurting others at this moment she is likely going to be more on the gentle side of parenting at least for the earlier days, though she takes no BS so may serve well as a wolf who teaches the pups to remain respectful and kind.

5. Riptide is gentle, affectionate and sometimes way too overprotective over their children, but he is always ready to lend an ear and offer a lesson.

6. The names of the pups and gender are up to you!

Background

Marina and Riptide first met in Virtus pack where Riptide checked over the newly-arrived Marina's health and old scars. From there, a friendship began to blossom between them and Marina frequently started hanging out with Riptide, enjoying his company.

As Virtus began to spiral into conflict with Thanador lurking, the sour duel between Teba and Penrose leading to both of their supposed deaths, and a lack of emotional restraint on Marina's part, the once hopeful view of Virtus changed in Marina's eyes to a pack she could not stop seeing as the pack she grew up in following her parents' death. She began to confide in Riptide more and more, who also felt the weight of it all on his shoulders as the boar hunt and a tense visit to Chandor passed by. By this point, both wolves were starting to develop feelings for each other, but those feelings were small.

Finally, the two wolves spent a night together, confiding in their troubles, and everything changed. Falling pregnant, Marina realized that Virtus was not the place she wanted to call home, afraid that her pups born out of wedlock would be scrutinized or treated unfairly as unlikely as those fears could be. She vowed to leave Virtus and raise her pups on her own, but once she told Riptide, he chose to leave everything behind for the sake of their children.

Settling in Fellfang, The new parents bring four pups into the world.
