First Impressions: About what you might expect for a pup - outgoing, excitable, maybe a bit mischevious. Anju is always willing to make friends or cause some chaos with his siblings

Notable Physical Features: He most notably looks almost exactly like his father, Wick. Other than that, he's a rather small and pudgy pup with fluffy fur and very large ears that are almost flopping over.

Posture and Gait: He has the classic pup clumsiness, and he moves around more in little leaps than normal walking since he must get to places fast!

Habits and Pastimes: He likes spending time with his mother and causing chaos with Yesenia and Dastan. He may rarely be spotted napping on a warm rock in the Tell.

His big paws hint at the young pup eventually growing into a larger, strong wolf like his father whom he takes a lot after. He also has thick fur and long cheek fur like both his parents.

Positive Traits

Bundled with the general joy and whimsy of a pup, Anju is a character in his own right. He is a confident pup, walking with his tail and head raised, a big smile on his face and a focused expression on his eyes! He’s making his presence known and wants others to know it! But he’s far from egotistical and pretentious with his confident attitude - he just wants to appear as a bright light during someone’s dark day, even if it's just him showing off. Anju is a caring wolf, especially towards his family. He is protective of his siblings and will rush to defend them no matter what - even if he had an argument with one earlier if he finds someone else being mean to his siblings he will speak up. He is also a massive mama’s boy and often hangs out with his mother to keep her company, and he hopes that his missing father is doing well and comes home soon. He shows lots of compassion for his family and its not just limited to them - if one befriends Anju, he will show the same compassion to them that he shows his family. Anju is a very easygoing pup, making himself approachable. He’s not a perfectly easygoing wolf, being a pup, but he tries his best. Anju is also optimistic, and his optimism can be seen with him always eagerly awaiting to meet his father. It was always apparent that his father was missing even from a young age, and Anju looks forward to his father’s return with bright spirits, insisting that wherever he is, he is okay! Anju has held onto that optimism and as he grows up applies it to many things, often trying to be a positive figure even when things look a little bleak. Being born in a religious pack to the Melchoir, Anju is very devoted to Xassa’s beliefs. He is always eager to learn about the religion and he takes the religion very seriously, which becomes more noticeable as he ages and learns more and more.

Anju can be a bit rowdy and playful with others - not necessarily a bad thing on his own, but if excited enough he may go overboard by mistake. In the event he does accidentally get too rowdy, he is apologetic and tries his best to settle down, but he is a pup bursting with energy so settling down isn’t always a promise. He is also overly curious. Curiosity is an important thing for a pup, but as they say, curiosity can kill. Anju is curious about EVERYTHING and sometimes his curiosity can get him in trouble.

Currently, Xassa is all Anju knows. He hasn’t been exposed to different ideals and with that, different ideals are foreign and scary to him. Anju sticks very close to Xassan beliefs and can’t fathom a wolf believing in anything different. Of course, he is young and will likely grow out of his closed-mindedness as he learns about the world around him. He is open to opinions of others within his pack, but he clings to the beliefs he grew up with. Being protective of his siblings also comes with recklessness - Anju doesn’t ask questions and will stand up to defend for what he thinks is right, especially as he gets older. He will throw himself into a fight without a second thought if it means someone he cares about getting away safely, and this can sometimes extend to trying to protect a sibling from something genuinely dangerous. Anju is also protective of his belongings, disliking when wolves touch any items he may have collected for even a second. One of the only ways he can quarrel with those he cares about if someone moved something of his without asking or checking with him first, as it is one of the few things that peeves him. Taking after his father, Anju can be very stubborn and set in his ways. It can be very difficult to get the peach coloured wolf to change his mind, with one sometimes having to outright relentlessly pester him until he gets annoyed enough to change his mind and go their way instead. Often times, Anju thinks his way or no way and its hard to redirect him especially when he is younger.

Pre-Group History

Wick and Yasu met when Wick saved Yasu’s life after she was swept into the river due to a misjudged jump while crossing. From there, the two wolves would become close friends. After they befriended Nayeli and Odin, the four wolves became close friends and frequented the Tell and around the territory when they weren’t busy. They would become four important wolves in the lives that were eventually to exist.

As Wick and Yasu’s bond grew, it didn’t take long for the friendship to evolve into a budding romance. Both wolves were nervous about confessing their love for each other out of fear of unreciprocated feelings, so their blossoming love was kept hidden amongst themselves for a long time, neither wolf brave enough to confess their love first. It didn’t help their hesitance to confess when a great enemy attacked the domain. When the quartet of friends came face to face with the monsters, it took Wick experiencing peril and injury to finally confess his love to Yasu, and shortly being rushed to the Gulas. Luckily, he survived the encounter thanks to the quick thinking of Yasu and Odin in the initial fight and the work of the Gulas.

After Wick recovered, he and Yasu continued to meet up. Relieved to finally know that they reciprocated each other’s feelings, they took their courtship slow and didn’t rush the relationship, letting it build up naturally and organically. They went on date nights and, on one of them, Wick would eventually propose to marry Yasu, who accepted.

Once married, the topic of kids wasn’t on their mind at first. It took many moons before entertaining the idea. They watched Nayeli and Odin bear two litters over their time together, and eventually Wick and Yasu began to discuss the possibility of having pups of their own and taking their first steps into parenthood.

Unfortunately, the parents would not be raising their pups together. A snowstorm hit Xassa, leading to the disappearance of Lottie, one of Odin and Nayeli’s daughters. Wick insisted on leaving to look for her, and despite Yasu’s pleas he couldn’t be reached. Wick set out to look for Lottie and has not returned since. Soon after Wick disappeared, Yasu would discover that she is pregnant with his children.

In the dead of winter, Yasu bore four pups, the first of which being a peach-coloured pup who looked very similar to his father. Anju and his siblings would be raised by Yasu with the help of Nayeli and Odin from then on, without Wick until he eventually returned. Anju, despite being the first born, wasn’t the largest pup of the litter, but he was as healthy as can be otherwise and it seemed like the young pup would develop into quite the character as he grew. From here, Anju’s story begins.

• Anju wonders if he really looks so much like his father as others say… after all… HE hasn’t seen him before? It could just be an empty comparison… but no matter! Dad sounds cool and he would like to look like him!

• He can’t help but miss his father despite not meeting him yet…

• Anju takes his big brother role very seriously and will defend his little siblings, even well into adulthood. He loves his siblings through and through!
