First Moments of a Dark Descent

First Moments of a Dark Descent

Under the flickering light of the lantern I tried to read the words on the piece of paper in my hand. The lantern itself was of little help, due to the waxing and waning of its light. The firelight danced in its glass cage, mocking me as I tried to read, as the chaotic light twisted and contorted the words. My attention was so focused on the paper I did not notice the old antique desk before me which, if I were in any reasonable state of mind, I would have thought to put paper and lantern upon and read without the further hindrance of my tired, nervous hands. But I was not thinking correctly. My thoughts were frantic, erratic. Everything

Narrative Exposition - Renara and Krecht

Once there was a young peasant woman named Renara, struggling to survive in a nation where government was weak, corrupt officials were commonplace, and gangs and city guards ran amok, often indistinguishable from each other. One day, she was accosted by thugs, which in itself was not uncommon, but this time surrendering the food she was carrying, and all valuables on her, was not enough to satisfy the brigands. The thugs’ leader insisted that she had to “pay” them with the clothes on her back as well, and when she hesitated, the thugs immediately volunteered to remove them for her. They were interrupted, however, by the su

A Silly Loony Dream

In this dream, I stood in a row of a couple dozen men and women in a large airplane, with only our flight suits, facing the wall. Our aged, southern instructor addressed us: "Do you want to serve your countries?' The response from everyone but me was: "Sir, yes, sir!" "Do you each want to serve your people?" "Sir, yes, sir!" "Do you want to serve humanity?" "Sir, yes, sir!" The young pilot shouted in a reasonable imitation of the instructor: "What's your name?" "Sir, yes, sir!" He laughed. "I've always wanted to do that." The instructor ignored him. "Do you want to further the cause of progress, of civilization, and thrust

The Woods

Many adventurers go through the woods, Hiking, spelunking, sledding, biking, Doing nothing very exciting. But we roll down on a little red wagon. Rolling down the slope, Mind going faster then we, We search about for a giant dragon. The fabled castle, it always seems, With treasures beyond our wildest dreams, Is just past the next hill, beyond the next stream. And the next, and the next. But this curious fact has never stopped us. We press on in our noble quest, Steering carefully lest We hit a rock or a tree. Magically and tragically, That is exactly what happens. A fallen tree like a ramp, Seems the perfect route to take.

Incoming Writing

So, I've decided what I should have done a long time ago, and start putting some of my writing on this site. I've got a few tales from when my muse was more creative, so I'll upload those first, and hopefully they'll see the light of someone's computer screen. More hopefully, they'll inspire me to start writing some more.

I CAN Haz Art!

I CAN Haz Art!

I have recently discovered my inner art potential, with thanks to my Digital Art class. *pokes my modest dragonfly-bat drawing* I have discovered that drawing, with time, patience, a good model, and a good eraser, can be both fun and productive. ...It's much more productive art when done with computers, however. Said Digital Arts class also taught me the art of using Photoshop, and with the CS2 Photoshop installed on my computer (for some reason) I have begun to craft... sprites! Sprites of characters from one of the many writing ideas I have in my mind, and I while I don't have much to show thus far, the process of creating my first sprite

I Fail at Self-Motivation

I Fail at Self-Motivation

Be it with homework OR drawing. I'm bored as hell, I have a drawing in front of me, and important homework to do, and I can push myself to do neither. This sucks, honestly. I need to find medication or something... *sighs* Dragons and mice. Is that so much to ask?

Now that everything's over, any more plans for Night Rain and Rainbow Dash?
Same as usual. Unfortunately, I've stalled on writing the fic... turns out, if I leave a project sit for too long, I start forgetting what I've already written and what I was going to do...
Hey there.
Ohai. What’s up?
About that new comic with Rain and Dash. I have to ask: is it going where I think it's going?
Well, that depends. Where do you think it's going? :P
I've seen the recent Dash/Rain pics. They're very cute.
