I've been wanting to do a God of Thunder type piece for a very long time now and am glad to finally have done one similar, I love the look of a dark blue piece with bright white #contrast
. This is also the 1st time I've ever #CopicMarker
'ed on "Arches cream" tonal paper thats' made in France, Its a lot like water color paper and it was tricky to get ink to stay where I put it because it bleeds like crazy, but I like a challenge and look forward to trying again.
Im happy with most of the end result of #Storm
on this one, like her entire torso, especially the chest piece, face and special FX. The #smoke
was an adventure with such grainy textured paper, my stroke didnt flow as smoothly but blended much better than my normal smooth Strathmoore paper. I also experimented with the anatomy a bit as well as different rendering techniques
My end game was to make you "hear" and "feel" the sound of the lightening, something Im trying to do in my work more. Hope you like it, and she should be on sale as a print at eBasMojo.com later today
