Hey I'm back and i have a interesting idea if you want to hear it. What about the Darknuts? I've been listening to this podcast of a D&D game series Hyrule chronicles. They had a interesting take on them & I've also been thinking on it abit.
They would be like they are in Wind waker large canine jackal like warriors clad almost always in heavy armor with their trademark massive blades. extremely tall powerful basically the most skilled swordsmen in Hyrule. Being canine like beings they are almost NEVER alone they almost always move out in force or always have a battle brother at least one other fellow darknut at their back. Weather its just good planing or some instinctual pack mentality isn't really clear If there ever is a lone darknut normally means one of two things. Either they've been disgraced an cast out or they are traveling alone seeking battle honor and glory to prove themselves.
The way darknut society would work i'd imagine something of a military dictatorship of sorts or some kind of cast based on how great one is as a warrior. think like the bulblins from TP but they actually have a code and a real military structure to there society rather then only following the strongest just because.
The darknut code is pretty simple but important to them. it pretty much
a superiors word is absolute: (No matter if every other rank an station calls for blood if the leader of the people says no thats the end of it. Unless challenged an beaten in fair contest of arms or they surrender. Which normally means death or being cast out. Rarely being made the victors right hand if they will it.)
surrender is for the weak: (Basically no surrender live by the sword die by the sword way. Surrender is a great shame to them since they train their whole lives as fear some swordsmen. To them its preferable to die or even be captured then just give up and often resulting in lower rank darknuts being cast out and for the leader of the people to surrender is disastrous since that is their most powerful skilled cunning an fierce warrior the best of their best. Stated before normally means dying or being thrown out.)
There is no honor or glory in slaying the weak: pretty much no killing the weak (non warriors/soldiers/combatants) unless they raise an arm against you. Pretty much if you don't want to be cut down just stay your hand an keep your head down.
The order of the code does matter the rules are ranked on importance. So if you don't want to end up a notch on there hilt don't try to fight them prey to the goddesses they haven't been put on the war path against you and DO NOT challenge or try to harm a wandering darknut.
