HEYOOOOOOOOOOOOO Ya'll! It's been a hot minute since I've talked here, huh? Just wanted to say thank you to those who participated in my poll, especially those who were kind enough to comment and tell me a lil more on their choice! Link here if you haven't but would like to. :] The reason for it isn't really to see what would win and moreso to see what everyone's interested in seeing more of VS what I personally wanna create for. Basically to get a gauge on viewer interests and where I can compromise if I needed to. It's been a loooooooong while since I've been in the content game earnestly and I needed a starting point to work from, so what better than to ask what ya'll wanna see then ask myself what I wanna make. :> Got a good bit of information from the poll too! So far, what I've learned from the responses is ya'll seem to like my headcanons/AUs because they're generally easy to interact with without needing prior knowledge of the fandoms in question? Which is something I never

It's good to be back on DeviantArt. I love your work. I watched you. Can you please watch me as well? Thanks.

Your art style is astonishing, Ash. You're obscenely skilled. :D

... We need to poach you for the games industry, if you're not there already. I see you draw fan-art - would it not be a natural progression to actually design the characters and settings, that video games are based on?

I mean, you're far more talented than I - if a wizened old gimmer like me can make it in the industry, you certainly can. It's a crazy-daunting prospect, I know, but it's never been easier to start - even if you didn't write your own games (which you can totally do - I have faith!), there's always the option of working with a team. There's so much help and resources out there for people who love games, but want to do more than just play.

Hehe, I get a little zealous when I'm talking shop. It's just great to meet adept folk who would do well in the interactive entertainment field, you know? Anyway, outstanding portfolio - I hope you'll join us at some point! :D

(Of course, if you're already part of it, apologies for wasting your time!)

Thank you very much! ;w;

Unfortunately I'm not a part of the gaming industry at all, I just play them, though I did get some training in the art department of game design back in college. I think it'd be fun to make a game, have been recently considering trying my hands at it, though i'm unsure if it's the avenue for me. I wouldn't be opposed to trying out a game jam or something of the sort at some point though :>

No worries! I think it's totally worth giving it a shot. It might well be the start of a love affair - but if you don't enjoy it, at the very least, it'll be something juicy to put on your resume, right? Even if you don't jump right into a programming language, and instead go for something like RPG Maker, it's all horizon-broadening stuff.

... I think your idea about participating in a game jam is totally the way forward. It's always interesting to work outside of your comfort zone - I'm sure you get to do that a lot with commission work, but this would be a completely random brief, that you might not have encountered before. You'd be surprised at how many people out there have the technical skills to write a game, but are putting it off because they can't draw very well - so if you team up with some other folk, it's possible for you to get started in the industry, without having to learn any new tech.

If I can be of any help to you in getting involved, you have only to ask. I can only really offer my own experience of the industry, but sometimes that's enough of a push to begin the journey. :D

Thanks a lot for the watch!:heart:

you're very welcome! owo
