Hello peeps! It's been a little bit eh? I've been quite busy with school and stuff because I'm so close to graduating so I'm not as present online as I previously was. I'm currently on break before my final quarter rolls around, but even then I'll still be quite busy with work on my film and other stuff, but I'ma try to find the time to upload more stuff on here too. :3 But I figured it might be nice to let ya'll in on what's going on, so if you're interested just keep on reading!

Senior Film: URSA

So what's been keeping me so busy as of late? My first short film is, that's what. If you don't know what URSA is, it's my senior film about a baby bear fishing for his sick mother! Here's a sample of it:

I've been busting my ass on it to make sure it comes out to the best of my current ability; it's unlikely to happen so soon but this piece could possibly be one of the things that gets me hired once I'm out of school. Speaking of the film though, I'm so excited about it you guys! Rough animation has been completed (with only some of the shots needing some inbetweening), I have someone composing an original score for the film, and it's pretty much more than half-way finished! It's amazing just how far it's come and I'm honestly really proud of it. I'm afraid I can't actually post up it's full progress though for film festival reasons, but what I might do is give an exclusive screening of it's current completion state to anyone interested on a private stream, probably up to like 10 people at most. Might just make it a Patreon event for those who's supporting me there, but we'll see!

Speaking of Patreon, I'm using it to show off the developmental process of my film, including the sample piece of the soundtrack and WIP shots featured in the film and so on. Patrons to my patreon will be among the first to get viewing rights to my completed film before I post it publicly online, so if you're interested in that, perhaps consider pledging HERE!

Fairytale Retelling Story Book:

So speaking of plans that doesn't have much to do with MLP, I'm highly considering doing a self-published storyboard/picture book that are retellings of old fairytales, like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, the 3 Little Pigs, so on. I've already done so with the retelling I did of Goldilocks and that's probably my most popular post to date, specifically on Tumblr (i's near 100,000 reblogs o.o) so I figured enough folks were interested in something of the sort, and that I might give it a try! Might throw in some original stories in there too, who's to say? But yeah, that's been on my mind lately, might make a crowdfunding project out of it to cover printing and publishing costs or maybe just keep it to Patreon or something until release.... but until then, I'm gonna make a poll and ask you guys for suggestions of stories you'd like to see retold with my own take to it! If you want like a concrete example, here's the one I did of Goldilocks:

Conventions

I'm attempting to broaden my convention horizons so next year I plan on going not only to Bronycon, but also to BABSCon as well! I'm thinking about Everfree NW and I'm scoping out DragonCon as my first convention that isn't pony focused so that I may vend there the year after, but we'll see! If you have any convention suggestions, doesn't have to be MLP related, just let me know. :3

Commissions

I recently posted up a journal advertising temporary discount commissions and that's still going if you want in on it! I'm actually feeling a bit sick though, so I might not start the commissions until tomorrow; hell, I'll probably just stream it so peeps can what their stuff being made as we go.
