Description
Just a thing I did because, surprisingly, some of you asked me how I go about planning a drawing/painting. So... uh, this is it.
I usually start with a thumbnail, and it can range in size. The first three are pretty small and are all on the same page while the last one took up a whole page by itself. Each of these are actually thumbnails for paintings I'm currently planning on doing for next years Bronycon. C:
The first two feature Luna and Celestia, both sisters in their respective element (night, day). However, I'm beginning to rethink it since... well, that's been used alot. So I'm thinking of something along the lines of Luna in the morning and Celestia at night, only there will be some differences to their appearance. Won't say yet, though, so stay tuned. :3
The third one is of Nightmare Moon because many of you asked me about her. So this one is gonna be along the lines of NMM with etheral shackles on her, with said chains zipping around in a perspective shot of sorts. She's gonna be on the moon itself. I'm really excited about this one.
And lastly, an image with Rainbow Dash and Rarity. This one is for a collaboration I'm doing with 
, and we've decided on doing an image with these two because there really isn't much interaction between them in the canon show. So this is just an image showing them interacting with on another, with RD lending a wing to help shield poor Rarity from the rain. c:

Just a question - how do thumbnails work? I've got plenty of small sketches I would like to make into larger paintings, and I think (I'm probably wrong) that it's implied here that there is a way to do it.

Edit: Just my opinion; The Looming Night seems to remind me a littl more of Celly than Luna, and The Rising Dawn looks like Luna - maybe because the moon controls the tide/water/etc and the alicorn's going for a wade.
