I'm working on resurrecting my Deviant Art page after a long hiatus. I continue to do ceramics, but my focus has shifted from jewelry and bead components to earthenware pottery and gifts. I still make the jewelry and parts, but it's mostly my classic pieces and not a lot of new designs. Lately I have been making a lot of ceramic magnets, ornaments, and tiles with famous quotes made with custom designed rubber stamps. I have also had a great time painting pottery with underglazes featuring snarky kawaii types of characters. And my very latest interest has been printing iron transfer decals and firing them onto my pottery! So many fun things to

thanks for stopping by. hope all is well and working out. hard times all around, but there's art to be made and little old evangelical ladies to upset. i hope i get one soon.

i know you didn't do it on purpose, but the younger ones deserve it, so the ends justify the bored old berated biddies.
Hey Melanie,

I just submitted my first order to you guys, then found you on here! I'll let you know how the pieces turn out once they get here (anxiously waiting).

i'm new to this site so there's nothing on my page yet. but i also make jewelry. i'm just a beginner but i enjoy it. i would like to sell my stuff some day. if you have any tips for getting started that would be great.
welcome and I wish you luck in your jewelry.

My advice is to use the best materials you can for your finished jewelry, and if you are just getting started, practice...practice...practice on those skills!

Try not to look at your peers for inspiration, but find other sources...art history, film, music, nature...try to be moved by something other than trends and the jewelry that is out there now. It will help you find your own voice.
I'm glad you found your way to DeviantArt, and I look forward to seeing more of your FANTASTIC work!!

I'm off to visit your other sites.
