sonic heroes - Team Vandals story

now that I finished team dream's story, it's time i explain team vandal's.

Team’s name.
- Team vandals

- Speed - Nack the weasel / fang the sniper
- Fly - bean the dynamite (with heavy and bomb)
- Power - bark the polar bear

- revenge on eggman

- Nack / fang - dark magenta

Team’s name origin.
- although the archie comic has them as team hooligan, i went with team vandals, since it comes from the fact that these guys are capable to cause a lot of destruction.

Team members game origin.
- Nack / Fang - sonic the hedgehog triple trouble (1994)
- heavy and bomb - knuckles chaotix (1995)
- Bean and Bark - sonic the fighters (1996)

Their team blast - bark tosses Nack / fang to the sky while bean launches bombs at the enemies and Nack / fang shoots at the bombs that ends up exploding the enemies. Allowing them to toss multiple bombs until the team blast meter ends

note 

1. like i said before, team vandal's would've faced off team chaotix so team dark would've faceoff team dream (tikal, lumina and chaos)

2. it's explained that the reason heavy and bomb joined team vandals over team chaotix was because they couldn't stand team chaotix' loud racket.

3. due to bean not having wings, i have heavy be modified to have a rocket feature on his back section so he can act as a jet pack so bean can fly. 

4. in order to make sense, bomb is more of a trigger that can make any other bombs explode. so i added an antenna on top of his head that make the other bombs that bean tossed would explode, this is so we won't have to say that the character bomb is always replaceable. 

5. nack is now an inch taller than sonic and bean is about tail's height. mostly cause it's what a lot of people prefer.

6. bean's beak is now designed to resemble woody the woodpecker's beak, rather than having a round beak. 

7. bark is made bigger, the same height as omega, big and vector, since he's a polar bear.

8. so they can glide easily, bark the polar bear use a parachute on the gliding fans while his team mates hold against him. similar to big the cat with amy rose and cream the rabbit. 

9. depending on which region you're from, nack the weasel would be known as fang the sniper.

team vandals 

in a room on a back alley, bark the polar bear was polishing his snow boards, while fang the sniper / nack the weasel laughed as he shot some targets with his paint gun. suddenly, bean, heavy and bomb barged in the room screaming in anger. fang / nack had a misfire as a paint ball hit one of bark's boards.

Bark: HEY!

Nack / Fang: what's with you!

bean: we've been bamboozled!

Nack / Fang: WHAT!

heavy and bomb made clanking sounds as they showed them eggman's flire.

eggman: buahahahaha, guess what sonic heroes, i've finally developed the ultimate weapon, in 3 days I will conquer the world. think you can stop me!

nack / fang: grrrrr that fatso think he can steal our plans after we suggested it!

bark: what do you suggest we do about it?

nack / fang: what else! we'll destroy his army and teach him to never double cross us. let's go!

Bark: yes!

bean as he picks up heavy and bomb: hehehe this is going to be fun!

Bean: look at that sight!

Bark: feel's like a good day to surf.

Nack / Fang: enough lollygagging! we have work to do!

Mission: destroy 20 egg pawns.

Hard mission: destroy 50 egg pawns

Mission: you spotted Eggman, try to reach him at the end of the palace!

Hard mission: you spotted eggman, try to reach him before time runs out!

Eggman: so you're the ones messing around with my army!

nack / fang: you messed with us, we'll destroy your army. 

bean: it's what we call karma.

Eggman: so you want a battle then, very well, prepare to face the wrath of the eggman empire!

Bark: how are we supposed to find eggman in this big city.

Nack / Fang: easy, we'll destroy his robots, then we'll see where they'll spawn from.

Bean: hehe, then let's go, heavy and bomb are hungry for revenge.

Mission: destroy 15 flappers to find out where do they spawn from

Hard Mission: destroy 30 flappers to find out where do they spawn from

Nack / Fang: well well well, look who it is boys.

espio pretend he doesn't recognize them as he stop and looks back.

vector the crocodile: what's up espio?

espio the chameleon: and you are?

nack / fang: oh we'er playing that game then.

vector: who's this broad.

espio: our client's enemies perhaps.

charmie bee: you mean the bad guys?

nack / fang: enough small talks, we came here to fight, so get ready to battle!

nack / fang: can't you believe that chameleon pretended he didn't recognize us.

bark: talk about wanting to keep it a secret.

bean: who cares, look at all of those slots machines. we could win a lot of money!

nack / fang: haha! new plan, we'll destroy eggman's robots and get all the money we can carry. let's go folks!

Mission: collect 300 rings.

Hard mission: collect 500 rings.

bean: heavy, bomb, i suggest you both hold on tight while we're on the rails.

fang / nack: just stay close you fools, if any of you fall off, don’t expect me to come looking for you!

Hard mission: get to the goal before time runs out.

bean: he's trying to escape!

Fang / Nack: not if we can stop him!

bark: your orders fang / nack.

fang / nack: destroy every bit of that ship and make that rotten egg cry for mercy!

Eggman: buahahahaha, you fools, i can't believe you felt for it.

nack / fang: what!

eggman: as you idiots felt for my trap, i managed to escape my entire army, buahahahahaha!

bean: we've been bamboozled again!

nack / fang: let's go, if we leave now, we might catch up to him!

bark: there's something weird going on.

bean and nack / fang: huh?

bark: that robot looked too real to be one of eggman's robots. 

bean: are you suggesting there might be someone else working with him?

bark: likely, it doesn't take an idiot to pull a stunt like this.

Bean: do you think he’s one of them

Nack / fang: there’s no doubt about it.

Lumina flowlight : if you’re going to tell us something, say it out loud!

Bark: alright, here’s how it goes.

Nack / Fang: give us the blue one and no one gets hurt.

Tikal the echidna : there’s no way I’ll let you take my friend away.

Bark: huh?!

Lumina: so leave us, or else!

Bean: haha, this is going to be fun!

bark: that thing didn't look like an artificial chaos to me..

bean: do you think it was the real chaos 0 from station square?

Fang / nack: of course not! there's no doubt that it was a high tech version. now i saw them go down this creepy path. 

Bean: you're not suggesting we go through this place?

bean looks at a weird looking plant. 

nack / fang: if you stay behind, these creepy plants would definitely eat you. 

bean: gah! wait for me!

Mission: try and find out where the previous team went through, get to the goal as fast as ya can.

Hard mission: get to the goal before time runs out.

Mission: destroy 15 egg bishops.

nack / fang: so you changed from technology to voodoo huh professor?

bean: does that means he's now a voodoo doctor?

eggman: very funny! I expected this place to traumatize you.

Bark: this place isn't as hideous as ya face.

nack / fang, bean, heavy and bomb laughed.

eggman: you! i'll make you pay for this!

fang / nack: trick us once, shame on you. trick us twice, get ready for a fight! say goodbye to your precious egg fleet!

Mission: Eggman’s robots had enough of your fighting. Destroy 50 Eggman robots.

Hard mission: destroy 150 of eggman’s robots.

vs eggman 3 

bean: there he is!

bark: get ready heavy and bomb!

nack / fang: cause we’er ready to demolish some unwanted waste!

eggman: hmph! enough of this! nack/fang, Bean, Bark! time to meet your maker!

Nack / Fang: ready boys!

bark and bomb: yes!

nack / fang: any regrets!

bean and heavy: no!

nack / fang: then i declare these ship destroyed!

nack / fang press the button as all the ships surrounding them exploded as they all cheered and laughed. once it was over, bean realized something.

bean: um, wouldn't it been better to just steal these ships and have our own army.

nack / fang, still holding his smile from pressing the button, turned his head to beam as it's smile changed to a glare, starting to chase the green woodpecker. 

nack / fang: you good fornothing crow! you should've told me that before I pressed the button!

bean: i'm sorry, it only occurred to me right now!

bark, heavy and bomb stare at them as nack / fang still chased bean.

bark: at least we stopped eggman and got our revenge.

their main theme start to play as the credits roll by

Reference to past games

01. In Seaside hill, Nack/fang states that the place looks like great turquoise zone, a level in sonic triple trouble.

02. In Ocean palace, bark states that they should get the cruiser off the canyon and cruise around the palace afterward, being a reference to the arena “canyon cruise” from sonic the fighters.

03. In Grand metropolis, nack/fang state that the city is bigger than death egg two. The final arena from sonic the fighter.

04. In Power plant, bean states that the plant is bigger than dynamite plant. An arena in sonic fighters.

05. In Casino park, bark questions if the person in charge of the park also owns casino night, an arena in sonic fighters.

06. In Bingo highway, bark would say that he thought eggman’s office from the death egg ii was full of lights.

07. In Rail canyon, Nack/fang would states that the armored train reminds him of the Marve-Shupopolous-Gou. A train from sonic triple trouble.

08. In Bullet station, Nack/fang remarks that the sunset reminds him of sunset park zone. A level in sonic triple trouble.

09. In Frog forest, bean would state that the forest looks greener than South Island. An arena from sonic the fighters.

10. In Lost jungle, Nack/fang would state that meta junglira zone is almost as big as the forest. A level in sonic triple trouble.

11. In Hang castle, bean ask where he’s seen the upside down statue before, referring to metal sonic, who was a boss in sonic fighters.

12. In Mystic mansion - nack/fang remarks that he was surprised that eggman didn’t told him about the mansion when he worked for him. Referring the time Nack/fang worked for eggman in sonic triple trouble.

13. In the Egg fleet, bark states that he hasn’t been this high up since the giant wing. An arena from sonic the fighters.

14. In Final fortress, Nack/fang remarks that the ship is almost as big as the death egg II. Which appeared in sonic fighters.

tell me if you think that this is how their story would've played. 

espio pretending of not knowing them was because the event of sonic the fighters was a top secret mission that even after the event, espio can't explain that he did the secret mission. not even to vector and charmie. also, heavy and bomb aren't even looking at the chaotix during this event, forcing the chaotix to not notice them and only look at nack/fang talking. 

next time, i'll talk about team fighter's story.
