Super smash bros rule - girlfriend before enemy?

Well, I notice that several characters are added before others. I then notices that character's girlfriends are added first before the character's enemy as playable character. For example.

Mario ➡ Peach ➡ Bowser, Wario or bowser jr.

Link ➡ Zelda ➡ Ganondorf.

Luigi ➡ Daisy ⤵waluigi

I know waluigi wont be playable in super smash bros ultimate. But just letting you know if waluigi is ever added in another game, his spot would be after Daisy's

Krystal was meant to appear in super smash bros brawl, but due to time and deadline, wolf replaced her spot. So it seems that wolf took her spot.

Fox ➡ Wolf ⤵ Krystal.

Dixie kong was also meant to be in the game as well but this idea was scrapped. But it's unknown if she'll be added in super smash bros ultimate. And no, king k. Rool is not diddy kong's main enemy.

Diddy ➡ Dixie.

I don't know anyone else who is a couple. Candy kong is not a nice pick due to her lack of attack. Paula is included on ness' final smash and Birdo is a stage character once again.
