My roadmap for the future of Trek...
1.
To mark the 60th Anniversary, Star Trek makes its return to network television as part of the 2026 fall schedule on CBS with Star Trek: The Lost Era.
Star Trek: The Lost Era, is set 60 years after The Original Series pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before".
In the year 2325 Captain Thomas Johnson Jr. and the crew of the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-B) continue the mission, to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before!
2.
To mark the 40th Anniversary of The Next Generation, Star Trek: The Furthest Stars joins The Lost Era as part of the 2027 fall schedule on CBS.
Star Trek: The Furthest Star, is set one year before the events of The Next Generation pilot "Encounter at Farpoint".
In 2363 the Ambassador-class, USS Olympia (NCC-61540) under the command of Captain Lisa Cusak sets out on an eight year exploration of the Beta Quadrant... to explore the furthest stars!
3.
Completing the trifecta that will be "Star Trek Saturday" on CBS, Star Trek: Endeavor joins as part of the 2028 fall schedule.
Star Trek: Endeavor is set in the same year as the events of Star Trek Nemesis.
In 2379 Starfleet Command launches Taskforce Gamma, an extended joint mission exploring the Gamma Quadrant. The taskforce is compromised of three ships and is under the command of Captain Edward Sebastian Frost, Captain of the USS Endeavour (NCC-71805), a Nebula-class starship.
Note: CBS currently has no first run original programming on Saturday nights (occasionally 48 hours in the 10pm time slot). My plan is to roll out three new Star Trek series over a three year period creating a "Star Trek Saturday". This is something not uncommon to television. CBS currently does this with both the NCIS and FBI franchise. While NBC does the same with it's L&W and Chicago franchises.
Star Trek: The Lost Era is planned for an initial Five Year Mission (like The Original Series) but is an adaptive series that could potentially run for 20 seasons.
Star Trek: The Furthest Star has a set story arc of 8 season.
Star Trek: Endeavor is open ended and adaptive and could potentially run for 20 seasons or more.
All three shows are set in different time periods, making them distinct from each other, giving fans variety.
Make it so.
