DotW || Secret Santa || One Toy Soldier

My piece of the secret exchange of this month, I got hirvlased and picked Finarel!
Finarel has oen of my favorite desings from the groups so this was the perfect chance to draw her, figuring her pose took me a while until I finally was satisfied, however, I discovered that I have some problems portaying pups correctly but she still came in a way I could like.

The concept for the background and scene were done faster than I expected and I already knew where I wanted to go with the piece. But the original picture was a lot more bright (and pink, really pink, think of Pinkie Pie from MLP. I´m not sure why I wanted to go there but I guess its because I like shiny things) until I decided to go for something that I found more "realistic" or rather, something that you can find in a photo.

Also, snow? Surprisingly easy to paint. Mountains? Not so much orz
