In Hyrule, a darkness is spreading through the land.  Everything it touches slowly decays.  Link rides his horse and sees what the darkness is.  Then he saw someone walking into the darkness.  
“The hero of Hyrule…this is one battle you will not win,” says the person.
Meanwhile, Spyro has told Sparx about his adventures in the human world.  
“It was really crazy, but I made a lot of friends,” says Spyro.
Then, he saw a darkness.
“That’s not really normal at all…I better find out what’s going on,” says Spyro.
Spyro goes to the darkness.  Link continues fighting the person.  He charges at him, but the person blocks his sword with his fingers.
“How predictable…I would kill you right now, but another one is going to interfere, so I’m going to seal your soul away,” says the person.
Then, Spyro charges at the person, breathing fire at him.  
“A dragon.  What brings you here?” says the person.
“Trying to figure out what this darkness is all about.  I just figured out where its all coming from: it’s you, isn’t it?” says Spyro.
“You can call me Black Plague, for what remaining life span you have,” says the person.
“Sorry, but I’ve got other plans,” says Spyro.
Spyro is about to charge at Black Plague, but Link stopped him.  
“What is it?” says Spyro.
Link points at Black Plague’s feet, and they’re covered with black goo.  
“You have good instinct.  If you manage to get close enough, you will die,” says Black Plague.
Then he feels a pain in his whole body.
“I’ve wasted too much time.  I have to fall back.  Make no mistake, Hyrule will be engulfed in darkness,” says Black Plague, disappearing with the darkness.
“Well that’s not the last we’ll see of him,” says Spyro.
Link goes to his horse.
“Well, guess I’m going to follow you,” says Spyro.
And with that, Spyro and Link go to Hyrule and meet Zelda.  
“It looks like the darkness is fading away,” says Zelda.
“Yeah, for now at least.  The person behind this is called Black Plague,” says Spyro.
“Is this true?” says Zelda to Link.
Link nodded ‘yes.’
“I see…Hyrule is facing a crisis,” says Zelda.
“Don’t worry!  I’ve dealt with these types of things before, so I’ll help you guys,” says Spyro.
“Thank you, Hyrule owes you a debt,” says Zelda.
The three look outside at Hyrule and saw the darkness is slowly increasing.
“The darkness will grow, and the only way they can stop it is with Link’s sword,” says Zelda.
Both Spyro and Link go outside.
“Well, I guess time is not on our side.  I guess we’re going to have to hurry,” says Spyro.
Link nodded ‘yes.’
“Well, let’s waste no time!  Let’s go!” says Spyro.
And with that, Link goes to his horse and rides while Spyro is flying, and they start their journey.  
Meanwhile, in the darkness, Black Plague is still in pain.  He is breathing heavily.
“Soon…they will all pay,” says Black Plague.
Meanwhile, Spyro and Link go to a volcano.  
“So, this place is part of the darkness?” says Spyro.
Then they saw a dark ball floating in the sky.  The two follow it and the ball is taking a form, and it’s the shape of a giant griffin.  
“Well, the two of you are interfering with the darkness.  That cannot be tolerated,” says the griffin.  
“Wait-why are you trying to stop us?” says Spyro.
“You two are getting into Black Plague’s way.  We will destroy Hyrule and everyone in it!” says the griffin.
“Yeah, that’s why we’re kind of in his way.  And we’re going to take you down!” says Spyro.
And with that, Spyro and Link battle the griffin.  After a few minutes, the griffin was weakened, and Link charged at the griffin and stabs him.  The griffin is turning into light and the darkness is slowly disappearing.  The two go outside.
“Hey! Most of it is gone!  That mean’s we’re doing it!” says Spyro.
Link nodded ‘yes.’
“Well, guess it’s not over yet.  We still have much to do,” says Spyro.
Meanwhile, Black Plague feels that some of the darkness is disappearing.
“It’s those two.  I must get rid of them before they become a threat to my plans,” says Black Plague.
Meanwhile, Spyro and Link go to a village to spend the night.
“Well, this village is kind of safe.  Hope it stays that way,” says Spyro.
Then a villager ran into the two.
“Is there something wrong?” says Spyro.
“There’s monsters coming to the village!” says the villager.
The two go outside and saw monsters covered in darkness.
“These things are coming to the village.  Guess we’re going to have to stop them!” says Spyro.
The two charged at the monsters and after a few minutes, they defeated the monsters.
“Well, that was easy.  A little too easy,” says Spyro.
They quickly go to the village and saw the villagers covered in darkness.
“We can’t harm the villagers!” says Spyro.
Link saw a torch and the darkness slowly disappear by one of the villagers.  
“Well, that’s one problem down, but one torch is not enough for all the villagers.  Wait-I think I got it!” says Spyro.
Spyro breathes fire into the sky that burns off the darkness of the villagers.
“Is everyone okay?” says Spyro.
“Yes, thank you,” says one of the villagers.
“Well, guess we don’t have much time.  We’re on our way,” says Spyro.
And with that they continue their journey.  

The next day, Spyro and Link go into the ocean.  
“You mean to tell me we had to go underwater?  Well, we’ll just hope there’s something on the other side,” says Spyro.
And with that, they go underwater and see a door.  They go inside the door and travel into it, then swim to the surface of the water.  
“Well, well…you two made it out,” says a voice.
“Okay!  Show yourself!” says Spyro.
It was a siren.  
“I’m so pleases that you made it this far, however…this is where your journey comes to an end,” says the siren.  
“Yeah, don’t bet on it!  We’ve dealt with monsters bigger than us, you’re no different!” says Spyro.
“Oh, very brave, but that is only going to get you so far.  Let’s see how many minutes you last,” says the siren.
After a few minutes of fighting, the siren was beginning to be weakened.
“Ugh…I didn’t last very long, did I?  You two are such a nuisance!” says the siren.
“Tell us where Black Plague is!” says Spyro.
“Don’t worry, he’ll come to you.  You’ll see,” says the siren, slowing turning into light, and most of the darkness is disappearing.  
“Well, looks like we’re getting the hang of this, but our work is far from over. Come on, let’s continue our journey,” says Spyro.
The next day, Spyro and Link go to a desert and they come across Black Plague.
“Finally, come out from hiding?” says Spyro.
“I just decided I’d take matters into my own hands,” says Black Plague.
“Well, we were just kind of busy these past few days getting rid of some of this darkness,” says Spyro.
“Darkness does not come from nowhere…everyone has a dark side,” says Black Plague.
“That’s pretty obvious.  There’s always got to be some light and some dark, at least from what I’ve heard,” says Spyro.
“That’s enough talk.  It is time to get rid of you two once and for all,” says Black Plague.
And with that, Black Plague charges at the two.  The two quickly get out of the way.  Spyro breathes fire at Black Plague.  Black Plague finds a rock and grabs it.  It turns into a dark spike ball; he throws it at the two, but Link slices it in two.  The two charge at Black Plague, but Black Plague surrounds himself with Dark Aura.  Link swung his sword at it, chopping it into pieces, and Spyro leaps and scratches Black Plague on the face.  
“You two are more persistent than I thought,” says Black Plague.  
“Tell us, why are you doing this?” says Spyro.
“I was once a regular person in a small village.  But then, Gannon came and destroyed everything.  I was the only survivor. Then I heard voices.  It was the Darkness.  It said I could gain power,” says Black Plague.
“What does that have to do with Hyrule?” says Spyro.
“Hyrule was unfit to exist.  The Darkness told me they didn’t have the right to live.  The Darkness helped me see what it’s really about.  It was the Darkness who kept me alive.  And now I will erase everything that will stand in the Darkness’s way!  The Darkness will engulf everything!” says Black Plague.
Suddenly, Black Plague was feeling pain.
“Listen, you’re feeling so much pain!  You think the Darkness cares about you?” says Spyro.
“I will endure the pain, make no mistake.  No one will suffer!” says Black Plague.
And with that, he retreated.  
“Come on!  We have to follow him!” says Spyro.
And with that, they tried to follow Black Plague.  After a few minutes, they realized he was gone.  
“Oh great.  We lost him,” says Spyro.
Meanwhile, Black Plague was breathing, but it was hard.  
“I need more time…Those two have gotten in my way, and for that, they must die…” says Black Plague.
Meanwhile, it was midnight and Link and Spyro look at the stars.  
“Hmm…the stars look beautiful.  I wonder if we’re going to find Black Plague in time,” says Spyro.
Link is looking concerned too.
“So, this Gannon, he’s really evil?” says Spyro.
Link nodded, “yes.”
“I bet if it weren’t for Gannon, none of this would have happened.  Guess we’re going to have to continue our journey and put an end to all this,” says Spyro.  
The next day, Spyro and Link go to a town which is deserted.  
“Where is everyone?  Something doesn’t seem right…” says Spyro.
Then they meet two of the townspeople.
“Well, maybe these two can tell us what’s going on,” says Spyro.
The two go over to the townspeople.
“Hey, excuse me, do you know what’s going on?” asks Spyro.
“I’m terribly sorry, but we don’t talk to outsiders…We execute them,” says the townsman, glowing with Dark Aura.
All of the townsmen are coming slowing from the buildings.
“Woah, this place is covered in Darkness!” says Spyro.
“The Darkness tells us to eliminate all outsiders.  Especially you two,” says one of the townspeople.
“Hey!  You guys, snap out of it!” says Spyro.
“It’s no use, dragon.  We look after ourselves, and only ourselves,” says one of the townspeople.  
The townspeople charge at the two, but the two defend themselves.  The townspeople turn into monsters.
“We will do whatever it takes to eradicate all outsiders!” says one of the monsters.
“Look at yourselves! You’re letting the Darkness consume you!” says Spyro.
“So be it!” says one of the monsters.
The monsters attack the two, but one by one, they defeated them.  Then, Dark Aura is quickly engulfing the town.
“Come on, you guys!  We have to go!” says Spyro.
“No.  This is our home.  We lived in it, and we will die in it,” says one of the monsters.
And with that, the monsters slowly become one with the Darkness.  Spyro and Link quickly get out of the town.
“Those people were consumed by the darkness…I guess they don’t trust the world outside of their own,” says Spyro

The next day, the two continued their journey. See a village in ashes, “What happened here?” says Spyro.
Then they saw someone moving. The two go to the person but the person was covered in dark aura.
“Oh not this again!” says Spyro. Link knocked out the person.
“Are you enjoying your quest?” says Black Plague.  Behind them
“How can you keep doing this?” says Spyro.
“It’s because they were weak.” Says Black Plague.
“You said Gannon destroyed your village but you are doing the same thing” say Spyro.
“That is the old me and now I have tolerated your interference for far too long.” Says Black Plague.
And with that Dark Aura slowly engulfing the ground, all the two only see darkness.
“Let’s see how you survive inside of the darkness” says Black Plague.
Black Plague charges at the two, but they quickly get out of the way.  Black Plague touched the ground, and spikes came up out of the ground.  The two tried to get out of the way, but the spikes kept on following them.  
“Man, this is getting really old!” says Spyro.  
Spyro breathes fire at Black Plague.
“Mere fire can’t stop-“ Before he can finish his sentence, Link quickly chops off his arm.  
“Ugh! How dare you?! I’ve just had enough of the two of you!  You two will disappear forever!” says Black Plague.  
A black hole is appearing.  It sucks the two in and they end up in Hyrule.  
“Hey!  How’d we end up back in Hyrule?!” says Spyro.  
Zelda appears.
“Have you finally stopped the darkness?” she asks.
“Not yet.  We just found Black Plague, but he sent us here!” says Spyro.
“Now why did he do that?” says Zelda.
“Because I want you to die here…” says Black Plague, in the air.  
“Just give it up!  You can’t get rid of us with some pitch-black magic!” says Spyro.
“Look around you, dragon.  Hyrule is getting closer to the darkness.  And I must admit, you two are very troublesome…but now, it’s time to end this,” says Black Plague.
He is absorbing the darkness, and he is slowly becoming a monster.
“He managed to absorb all that darkness?!” says Zelda.
“I bet if we stop him, this whole thing will come to an end,” says Spyro.
Link raises his sword.
“Okay…let’s finish this!” says Spyro.  
The two charge at Black Plague.  Black Plague throws needles from his hands, but Link blocks the needles.  Spyro keeps scratching him in the throat and attacks him with his tail.  Black Plague grabs Spyro and throws him to the ground, but Spyro breathes fire into his face and Link slices Black Plague’s eye.
“You can fight as long as you can…it won’t change your fate!” says Black Plague.
Zelda aims a magic bow and arrow at Black Plague, and it hits him in the chest.
“Now!  This is your chance, you two!” says Zelda.
Link leaps and stabs Black Plague in the chest, but he grabs the sword and tries to pull it out.  Spyro comes and helps Link push the sword into Black Plague’s chest.  Black Plague is screaming in pain.  Darkness is leaking out of Black Plague’s body, and the Darkness is finally gone.  Black Plague was on the ground breathing heavily.
“How could I lose?” says Black Plague.
“Because you didn’t trust anybody but yourself,” says Spyro.
“You’d never understand my pain…After my village was destroyed, I lost everything,” says Black Plague.  
“Many lives were taken because of Gannon, and the pain of loss is unbearable.  But darkness is not the only way.  Link has been struggling ever since he was a child, and yet he is still strong,” says Zelda.
Black Plague looks at the sun.  
“So…this is how the light feels…I forgot how it feels…” says Black Plague, slowly dying.
The next day, Spyro is about to leave Hyrule.  Then Link shows up.
“Well, this is my time to leave.  I guess everyone has a darkness inside of them.  But you know what?  That’s okay.  No one’s perfect.  As long as you do good, it doesn’t really matter,” says Spyro.
And Link nodded “yes.”
“Well, see you around!” says Spyro, flying into the sun.  
And Link watched him fly away.
