It all started in outer space.  A ship is coming to Pop Star.  Everyone is looking at the ship.  Suddenly the ship is abducting everyone.  Meanwhile in Nightopia, Nights was playing his invisible flute and thinking about the human world.  
“The human world is so interesting!  I wonder if I should visit that world,” says Nights.
Then Owl shows up.  
“Say, Owl, is it possible to visit other worlds?” says Nights.
“It’s doubtful,” says Owl.
“Well, I went to the human world once, so it might be possible,” says Nights.
Suddenly, a portal opened and a claw grabs Nights.
“Well, here we go again!” says Nights.
Nights goes through the portal and ends up inside a ship.
“Hey! What’s going on here?!” says Nights.
“Well, you’re an interesting one…” says the person.
“Who are you?” says Nights.
“My name is Midnight,” she says.
Nights looks outside the ship and saw the people of Pop Star being taken.
“Hey…you’re doing this?  Why?” says Nights.
“I collect species and capture them.  There are so many life-forms in the universe.  I want to collect them all,” says Midnight.
“I won’t let you do that!” says Nights, breaking free and flying outside the ship.  He goes to the claws and destroys them.
“Well, that takes care of that,” says Nights.
Suddenly, he got hit by a laser which caused Nights to fall to the ground.  Nights was getting up.  Then he saw Kirby.  Kirby stares at Nights.
“Well, aren’t you a butterball!” says Nights.
Suddenly, Midnights troops are surrounding Nights and Kirby.
“You survived the blast, guess we have to take care of you personally,” says one of the troops.
One of the troops tries to shoot Nights, but Kirby sucks in the laser and spits it right back.
“I thought all these life forms were supposed to be weak!” says one of the troops.
“You thought wrong,” says someone behind them.
It was Meta Knight.  He goes to the troops and defeats them one by one.
“It seems that this is just the beginning,” says Meta Knight.
The ship is grabbing the planet and draining its life-force.  
“She’s going to take this planet and everyone in it!  Someone has to stop her!” says Nights.  ‘
“And you are going to try to stop her?” says Meta Knight.
“Yeah,” says Nights.
“In that case, take Kirby. He is a brave warrior,” says Meta Knight.
“Well then, I guess it’s just you and me, Kirby,” says Knights.
And with that, Nights grabs Kirby and they fly off.  They go to a jungle and try to find a towing hook for the ship.  
“This place is very quiet, let’s just hope it stays that way,” says Nights.
Then, Kirby pointed to the hook of the ship.
“Oh!  Good one, Kirby!” says Nights.
The two go to the hook, but suddenly it was guarded by a gorilla with a sword.
“This is as far as you two go,” says the gorilla.  
“We’re trying to save this planet!” says Nights.
“I have orders from Midnight to stop you at any cost,” says the gorilla.
“So, it’s going to be like that…well, we’ll have to show you who’s boss!” says Nights.
After a few minutes of fighting, the gorilla was on the ground.
“Oh…you two have really got some nerve!” says the gorilla.
“Sorry, but we’re going to stop Midnight and save this world,” says Nights.
Kirby sucked in the hook and quickly devoured it.  
“Wow, that was great!” says Nights.
“Oh no…she’s going to kill me,” says the gorilla.
Suddenly, a laser hits the gorilla vaporizing him.
“Oh!  That laser came from that ship!  I bet Midnight is the one who fired the laser…I bet she doesn’t care about who gets hurt, especially her allies,” says Nights.
Meanwhile, on the ship, Midnight looks at the two.
“Well then…I thought that this planet would be easy to take.  But, I was wrong… no matter.  It will be a matter of time,” says Midnight.
Meanwhile, Nights and Kirby are on snowy mountains.
“Things are really chilly!  I wonder which one of those hooks will be here?” says Nights.
Then Midnight’s troops appear.  
“Uh, oh…They’re back again!” says Nights.
Kirby builds a bunch of snowballs.  That gives Nights an idea. The troops try to find the two, but the two hit him with snowballs.
“Ugh!  You idiots!  Fire at them!” yells one of the troops.
They try to shoot at them, but the two get out of the way.  The two build a big snowball and they push it downhill where it grows bigger and bigger then smashes into the troops.
“Ho ho ho!  That was easy!” says Nights.
Then the two saw the towing hook.  They are about to go to it, but it was guarded by a penguin with a rocket launcher.
“Oh, don’t tell me you’re Midnight’s troops.  Are you?” says Nights.
“That’s right.  I’ve got orders from Midnight to guard this hook and take you two down,” says the penguin.  
“That’s what the gorilla said!  This is getting old; you guys are nothing but trouble!” says Nights.
“Not as much trouble as you guys are going to be in once I take care of you!” says the penguin.
After a few minutes of fighting, the penguin was getting dizzy.
“I’m not…done yet!” says the penguin.  The penguin fires a rocket launcher at the two, but Kirby sucks in the missile and spits it towards the hook, destroying it.
“That’s two down!” says Nights.
Suddenly a laser hits the penguin, vaporizing it.
“She did it again! Midnight, if you’re listening to me, just because they didn’t win it doesn’t give you the right to take their lives away!  You are not going to take this planet, or any other planet!” says Nights.
Meanwhile, Midnight saw the two, and heard what Nights said.  
“You wouldn’t understand.  Soldiers are meant to be sacrificed, and I’m surrounded by soldiers who are incompetent.  It’s time for the new machines to finish what my forces started,” says Midnight.
Meanwhile, Nights and Kirby go to a beach to find another hook.  
“Hmm…the hook has got to be around here somewhere.  I just know it,” says Nights.
Then they saw the hook in the water.
“Ah, that was easy to find!  But I bet someone’s guarding the hook…” says Nights.
And with that, Nights picks up Kirby and they fly off to the hook.  
“Strange…I don’t see anyone guarding it,” says Nights.
Suddenly, the hook is transforming into a Mech and inside the Mech, a hologram of Midnight appears.
“Oh!  It’s you again!” says Nights.
“Thanks to you two, I’m off schedule,” says Midnight.
“Schedule?! What kind of schedule?!” says Nights.
“I collect worlds and dissect the life-forms,” says Midnight.
“You mean ‘capture’ them?!  And take them away from their homes?!” says Nights.
“If necessary, yes,” says Midnight.
“Just who do you think you are?!” says Nights.
“I am a collector.  I take life-forms, dissect them, and sometimes keep them alive by locking them up,” says Midnight.  
“You really make me sick, you know that!” says Nights.
“What you think changes nothing.  You two have cost me so much time, and for that, I’ll deal with you personally,” says Midnight.
And with that, Midnight used a wand to control the Mech.  Nights and Kirby started battling the Mech.  The Mech fires missiles, but Kirby sucks the missiles in then fires them back.  Nights flies to the shoulder of the Mech, trying to trick it into hitting itself. But the Mech stopped.
“You actually think it’s going to be that easy?” says Midnight.
“Well, guess not but we don’t give up that easy,” says Nights.  
Nights and Kirby go inside of the ship and tear the wires, forcing the mech to go offline.  Nights and Kirby go outside of the Mech, pushing the Mech into the ocean.
“Nice try!  But you’re not going to get rid of us that easily!” says Nights.
And with that, they continued their journey.  
Meanwhile, Midnight was furious.
“That was my strongest Mech!  They’re going to pay for this!” says Midnight.
Meanwhile, Nights and Kirby go to a forest.
“This forest is beautiful!” says Nights.
Kirby grabs leaves, throws them in the air, and the leaves fall back to the ground.
“You’re really adorable, aren’t you?” chuckled Nights.
Suddenly, soldiers surround the two.
“You’re coming with us,” says one of the soldiers.
“Are you with Midnight?” says Nights.
“No, we have orders from King Dedede,” says one of the soldiers.
The soldiers took Nights and Kirby to King Dedede’s castle where they meet him on person.
“So, you’re the one who’s goes to Pop Star uninvited…I see you’re with Kirby,” says King Dedede.
“Me and Kirby are trying to save Pop Star from Midnight.  She’s the one who’s kidnapping people and draining this planet’s life force!” says Nights.
“There’s no way she can do that!” says King Dedede.
Kirby saw a curtain.  He pulled it open and saw one of the hooks.
“You’re with Midnight?!  How can you do this to your own planet?!” says Nights.
“So you know it.  Well, the truth is, she promised me to get rid of Kirby if she can study our planet,” says King Dedede.
“You’re a terrible king!  Just look what she’s doing to the people!  And this planet!” says Nights.
“Draining some life force is not going to hurt the planet.  And so what that some people have been captured?” says Nights.
“Just who makes you the one who’s king anyway?!” says Nights.
“That’s enough!  You two have been interfering for the last time!  Now I’m going to get rid of you two permanently!” says King Dedede.
Dedede grabs his hammer and tries to smash it into both Kirby and Nights.
“You’re not going to stop us from saving Pop Star!” says Nights.
And with that, Kirby and Nights battle King Dedede.  After a few minutes of fighting, King Dedede was on the ground.
“Now, let’s get rid of the hook,” says Nights.
Kirby sucked up the hook and that weakens Midnight’s ship.  
“Ugggh, no fair!  I should throw you into the dungeon for this!” says King Dedede.
“Why are you being such a jerk?” says Nights.
“It’s all Kirby’s fault!  I had it all until he came to Pop Star and ruined everything!” says King Dedede.
“The whole planet of Pop Star is being threatened, and all you care about it getting rid of Kirby?!” says Nights.
“Oh, that’s enough out of you!  Guards!” shouts King Dedede.
The guards surrounded the two, but Meta Knight appears.
“I’ll keep them busy.  You get to that ship!” says Meta Knight.
“Okay!  Thanks,” says Nights.
Nights picked up Kirby and they fly to the ship.  Midnight saw the two coming to the ship.  
“Well…it looks like they’re on their way.  It’s time to end this,” says Midnight.
The two go inside the ship and saw the people of Pop Star.
“We’ve got to find a way to get them out of there!” says Nights.
“I doubt you will save all of them,” says Midnight from behind them.
“There you are Midnight!” says Nights.
“Well, since you’ve come this far, it’s only natural I tell you my motivation.  You see, my planet was the biggest of the cosmos.  My people were rich, however, after the calamity of our economic system, we were starting to fight each other.  I escaped my planet and started my own empire.  I collect planets’ life forms,” says Midnight.
“But what about these people?  You think they wanted to be captured and be locked away forever?” says Nights.
“This is the survival of the fittest.  Outside, you have to think about yourself and look after yourself.  Kindness and benevolence is a joke,” says Midnight.
“That’s it, I’ve had it with you!  Just because something bad happens to your planet, that doesn’t give you the right to torture other planets!  Me and Kirby are going to stop you and all this!” says Nights.
“You talk too much.  I’ll get rid of you personally,” says Midnight.
She raises her wand and all the canons are aiming at Kirby and Nights.  She’s using her wand like a conductor’s baton, and the canons are firing at Kirby and Nights.  But they quickly get out of the way.
“You can’t dodge them forever.  Sooner or later, you’re going to get hit,” says Midnight.
Nights grabs a missile and throws it at Midnight.  It exploded, forcing Midnight to hit the floor.
“You…how dare you do that to me?!” says Midnight, getting up.
Midnight summons two giant Mechs.  The two Mechs charge at the two.  Nights grabs one of the Mech’s arms, and throws it into the other Mech, but the other Mech destroys the first Mech.  The other Mech fires rocket launchers at Nights, but Kirby sucks up the rockets and spits them out at the Mech’s head, destroying it.  
“Are you running out of tricks?” says Nights.
“Actually, I’ve just got one more…” says Midnight.
She pressed the button, and a giant beam canon was pointing at Nights and Kirby.
“Let’s see how you’re going to survive this one!” says Midnight.
The canon is about to fire a giant laser.  It shoots at the two, but Kirby sucks in the laser, and he keeps sucking in the laser.  After a few minutes, the canon is losing power.
“No!  Impossible!  No one can survive that!” says Midnight.
“No one but Kirby!” says Nights.
Kirby spits the laser at Midnight.  The beam leaves a hole in the wall and Midnight was on her knees.  
“No…I never imagined you’d go this far…” says Midnight.
“We going to get these people back to Pop Star,” says Nights.
“Even if you can get these people back, I still have the planet’s life force,” says Midnight.
Kirby presses a button that returns the energy back to the planet.  
“Oh, you clever pink ball!” says Nights.
“No!  I worked so hard!  There’s only one thing left to do…self-destruct!” says Midnight.
She pressed the button to self-destruct.  
“We have to get these people out of here now!” says Nights.
Nights releases the people from their cages and Kirby calls a Warp Star.  All the people are getting on the Warp Star, and Nights and Kirby are on the Warp Star too.  They shoot down to Pop Star.  Everyone sees the ship explode.  
“Well, guess it’s finally over,” says Nights.
King Dedede shows up.
“Well, well…you two are in so much trouble…” says King Dedede.  
“Not as much trouble as you’re going to be in!  Everyone, he was working with Midnight!” says Nights.
“Don’t waste your breath!  These people are loyal, even if I did sell them out,” says King Dedede.
One person throws a tomato at him, and another throws eggs at him.  The people were very angry at King Dedede.  And the people start chasing Dedede.  Meta Knight shows up.  
“You two have saved Pop Star,” says Meta Knight.  
“Well, I’m just glad everyone is safe,” says Nights.
Meta Knight gives Nights a star.  
“This star will help you get back to your own world,” says Meta Knight.
“Thank you,” says Nights.
Kirby went to Nights and gave him a hug.  
“Don’t worry!  We’ll be friends forever,” says Nights.
Nights used the star to go to his world.
The next day, Nights was playing his invisible flute.  Then he looks around.
“You know, I wonder if I could just go to the human world…” says Nights.  
Nights looked to the star that Meta Knight had given to him.  That gives Nights an idea.  He used the star to go to the human world.
“It works!  It actually works!” says Nights.  
Nights looked at the city and was amazed by the look of it.
