Hello. Wow. Dat technique! I have nothing at all to critique about your handling of the medium, that is superb.
I would just say to remember to add some small touches of reflection of the critter's bright colours into the water. And maaaybe some more slickness/white on its flanks - thinking in specific of the second-to-rightmost coil facing the viewer. Adding some purpliness to the sky would definitely make the orange pop a bit - but also remember that a change in sky colour will affect the colour of the sea/distance haze as well.
The rest looks absolutely GORGEOUS! I am in awe of your painting skills, wow. I hope to be that good someday!
Firstly, well done, it does carry a lot of emotion! My crits: The hand is placed rather weirdly. Either it shouldn't be sticking out at all (his arm/body would be covering it) or it should be at a different angle, it's just not working for where you appear to have placed the wrist! Maybe show her arm in front of his arm? Or make the bend of her arm more acute and change the angle of the hand slightly. I'm assuming you left out some of the window panes/frame to amplify the scene because you mention that continuity isn't an issue here. Is she upset, or is she surprised? Because her expression in the second panel is the latter - she doesn't look upset there, just slightly awe-struck. I'm not going to suggest corrections because I know you're really good at expressions. The only reason I ask this is because she seems upset in the previous panel... it's really difficult not to take continuity into account when shown two panels, so if it boils down to that again, forget the expression crit! Also, the back of his head is a bit large for his face, especially when compared to the top panel (complete the line arch in your head and you'll see what I mean).
I hope this was the kind of critty stuff you wanted! Apart from all this blah blah I really do like the scene you've created. It reminds me of the love story of Fitz and Molly in Robin Hobb's Assassin Trology, some of my favourite books of all time. Ever. Highly recommended reading.
