My first time drawing Woody realistically <3

My second test at white charcoal on black paper, was more of a detailed sketchy test and
I didn't stick very closely to the photo, I more just tried to capture the spirit of it instead! :noes:

i have never used white charcoal but i can tell this is amazing...love it!

Lol, it's basically what you'd think it'd be, it's like drawing inverted, you start with the lighter parts instead of the darker parts! It's very confusing at first but once you get going it's pretty much easy! :)

It gives much needed variety even if the end result doesn't turn out as extremely different as you wanted. I have used black and white charcoal on the same drawing on a piece of grey cardboard before [link] and that was really a learning experience; because they aren't the same texture, Black Charcoal is powdery like you know but white charcoal is slick like a pencil, lol! It makes it very difficult when you want to get them near each other!
