Don't cry
Don't raise your eyes
It's only teenage waste land

So, Sally, take my hand
Travel south cross land
Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder

The lyrics to the Who's "Baba O'Riley" came unsummoned as I viewed this work. I assume that "Baba O'Riley" was not the catalyst for this piece; this is little more than a serendipitous (yet highly appropriate) connection.

Sally seems to me a rather vulnerable character, though I will concede that she disguises her insecurities remarkably well. Sonic seems a natural partner and confidant, a remarkably gifted individual who consciously affects an air of callous indifference and chauvinistic bravura in an attempt to conceal his own anxieties. Their inability (or, perhaps more accurately, Archie Comics' reluctance) to establish a meaningful relationship, romantic or otherwise, quite perplexes me. I am well-aware of their history; contentious as their relationship has been, I nevertheless find it absurd that difficulties since past should affect their present interactions. But these are impertinent ramblings, and little more.

You capture the dynamic between Sonic and Sally exceedingly well; their genuine concern for the other's welfare is seldom portrayed in such a manner. Though perhaps not as meticulously detailed as other depiction of "SonSal" (a term which I loathe, but will use for the sake of convenience), this work's emotional power affects and wounds the viewer, to the extent that one cannot help but empathize (or, perhaps, sympathize) with their plight, however profound or trivial it may be. This palpable urgency atones for the work's relative simplicity (if, indeed, a work can be faulted for it), and quite endears it to the viewer. Suffice to say, this is a work of utmost sincerity and striking maturity, a magnum opus by universal definition; I applaud you for it.

'Don't Cry'
I prefer "Run Through the Jungle," but I suppose "Tombstone Shadow" is equally excellent.
Swamp snake
This never fails to amuse me; it certainly remains an example of "Halolz" par excellence.
