I love that game, and being Transgender I can totally understand his character! In real life (in history) Ranmaru Mori really was described as being beautiful and people to this day in Japan use the name Ranmaru Mori to refer to a beautiful Bishounen (Pretty Boy or Beautiful Man) of any knd. He is even sometimes called the Japanese Adonis! I know some Bishounen guys who are Transgender and live most of the time as women, so this is where the notion of portraying Ranmaru Mori in this way comes from. Another fun fact from actual history: Ranmaru Mori was the lover of Oda Nobunaga, and the two of them were inseparable until Nobunaga's death. Interesting, eh? Apparently, Oda's love for Ranmaru started a trend amongst Samurai for taking male lovers who had a feminine beauty to them, and that is what began appreciation for the Bishounen to begin with. On a game-related note, I loved playing as him in the game! The Oda clan always kicks butt in that series.
