Commissioned by Paramount and the BBC for a promotional giveaway and Gallery Exhibit at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con celebrating International (Intergalactic) Friendship Day, this Star Trek & Doctor Who collaboration recognizes the 60+ year legacy of both franchises. Some Doctors were omitted at the request of the BBC, trust me, they were ALL in here at one point! I had a blast finally getting to draw so many different characters and creatures I grew up watching on TV as a kid. Some notes from the BBC shifted some elements around that weren't my preferred ideal, and some characters removed and added at their request, but overall, really pretty happy with how it turned out. And it seemed like a lot of folks enjoyed the posters that were given out at the panel in San Diego and taking pictures in front of the giant wall mounted piece at the Gallery Exhibit in the Gaslamp District which included an awesome selection of costumes and props from both franchises..
I like the artwork, has a classic feel to it. But the most important character from Star Trek is sadly missing: Miles Edward O'Brien. (And yes, that's canon!)
