Off Limits

Despite having much to work on, I've not been able to do much art as I've had to switch drawing programs! I've used Photoshop exclusively for years, but without a student discount, it is just way to costly to keep using so I've been experimenting with other programs to try to find one I like.

Then, Clip Studio Pro went on sale a few days ago so I bought it to try...and I am REALLY liking it so far :D

This artwork was literally just me messing around in CSP and figuring out the tools. It was a little rough at first, but after learning a few tricks from YouTube, I made a fully colored & shaded art in mere hours! Typically, that would take me days! Honestly, I'm super excited right now because with this new workflow in CSP, maybe I can start doing more art & colored art for my PMD groups!

As for the subject here, I have seen a few artists on here doing a challenge of sorts where you draw a character based on a song/within the time of a song. So, this is inspired by the vocaloid song Toosenbo (I Won't Let You Through, in English) by Wowaka which I have been listening to constantly. I've been drawing latios a lot lately (and I have a character idea in mind which fits the song) so I drew one here. I am SUPER pleased with how this came out 😍

If you are at all into vocaloid music (or not vehemently opposed to it), I would give the music video a watch as it gives some context my art. As for the latios...maybe we'll see them again in the future? 😉
