Description
What you are seeing here is one of the most challenging artworks I have ever made, because it literally took me days, not hours to complete. Behold, the interiors of the M98A3 Behemoth Superheavy Tank, which is not really a tank, but a mobile battlestation because it's so spacious inside.
The control panels at the sides display the local map area and allows users to control various turret and weapon systems on the tank. In addition to controlling, such systems can also be switch to auto mode, where they become programmed to target potential hostiles by themselves. The front part of this interior ahead is the operator's compartment. This is where this gigantic vehicle is driven from.
After considering various suggestions from my previous WIP model, the seats used here has been changed from rolling chairs to tracked seats, which are much more firm, especially when travelling along uneven terrains such as slopes and bumpy grounds.
3D modeling program used: Sketchup Pro 2013
Time since model started: 22 days (around 2 - 4 hours per day except on days that are not free)
Renderer used: Indigo Renderer
Rendering time: 20 hours straight (overnight with increased resolution)
Rendering resolution: 1500 x 705
This image still looks grainy to a certain extent because of the complexity of the model and that interior lightings were used. As compared to rendering exteriors with the Sun as the light source, such images are much clearer. That's why most of my tank models don't appear very noisy or grainy.
Image still subject to change for one final time for additional improvements.
Alright, that's all. I hope you like this art!
