Daily Deviation

Given 2003-06-16
With already 14 favorites, I think the community made the choice a selected envision 3 by duo as a daily deviation. Also significant is the fact, that many people outside the visualization scene made this choice. You can't go wrong with this! (Selected by ^yathosho) ( Featured by yathosho )

Fall From Grace and Up The Block are absolutly marvelous. Also some fantastic SSC work in here like Phonetic Formation, Semicubist and Hyperthreading. But somehow I wish the SSCs a little more - ah, how to describe this - soft and solid? Perhaps some more blur and a better z3-blending?

...and you didn't see me, btw.

Great pack.
All avs's were greate but i've picked out my favourites:
Milky wave, neurogenesis (not sure if it's suppose to be a space themed avs but that's why I like it), warm freeform (for the warm colours), destination unknown , oxygenate, alien intercourse 4 and conjuring. Just to name a few.

Keep up the good work :) (Smile)

Well if it ain't Envision3, well i be damned... i really didn't expect this :) (Smile) Maybe because im so busy on my own pack.

Anyway, thorough the pack i can definetly see one theme/lifeline whatever you like to call it and that is "originality". You did a lot of presets that used atleast some kind of a new trick or shape. It is quite refreshing pack when compared to the recent work (well not including SIGHTS of course...) and i like your choice of colors and bledings a lot, im loving those cool shining effects of some of the presets Falling from grace for example.

On the other hand when we compare this to your previous Envisions, i didn't get the same kind of kicks out of this one, during the entire pack i had a feeling that something is missing. Maybe it's because you're concepts looked really simple and i really didn't expect such simple work from you. Again i have to blaim my previous experiences of the envisions series, which were awesome.

But still, when compared to the overall avs scene this year, this is one of the top 10 packs (im saying top 10, because it's still a long year ahead) And i didn't dislike any preset. So a +fav it goes for you and your great work Thumbs Up

Congarts also on the DD, this is the choice of the scene so no one should have any problems with that :) (Smile)

I love the pack, really good. The ssc's are very good and the style also. I only think there are a bit to much dark presets, but maybe that's just me...

mmm, all around AVS goodness :) (Smile)

favs were neurogenisis, fall from grace, phonic formation and alien intercourse 4
runar Featured By Owner Jun 15, 2003
Hey, yeah, this was a surprise.

Many of the presets are pretty different from your earlier stuff, and changes are a good thing. Most of these are also very unique and original.

While the best presets in the pack (Fall From Grace, Destination Unknown 2, Life as a Cube, Semicubist, the intro) are fantastic, I think some of the others (Milkywave, Warm Freeform, Sun Gazing, Swamp Fever, Paradox) just aren't very good at all.

But overall the pak is great and impressive, I'll give you +fav.
nemoorange Featured By Owner Jun 15, 2003
quite remarkable.

Throughout this entire pack, I kept on seeing, as HF mentioned, old-skool AVSers. phonic formation looks like what el-vis's "dropinthebucket" should have been. cardiac compression reminds me of some tuomas, and of course fall from grace is very simple, just one movement, but that is what makes it beautiful.

I think we share the same ideal of these 'flawless' visualizations. Not by means of code or something like that, but every preset here just looks great. No ugly lines jutting out, or breaks in the pattern. It all works together. I really appreciate such vision (no pun intended).

My only wish is that you added some actual comments telling us a little about the presets and whatnot. Other than that, congradulations on a spectacular pack.

- O.k let's go :

i'll start from the second preset "hyperthreading" since i really didn't like the Intro

coz it was very unconnacted in the way that all the objects meaning BG and SSC were boaring

and skinny looking on the other hand "hyperthreading" looked much better on it's SSCPreset

concept all the circuference looked good skinny but does the trik using the texter trans.

"milkywave" i like it since it has a similer concept like one of my presets

( tho i still prefer my preset more :) (Smile) ) it's basicly a cool smooth flowing preset that is

almost the exect oppside of the next preset "up the block" which has a cool stylish look

similer to Yathosho's presets style but a bit jumpier :) (Smile)

Skipping one preset and on 2 the next one "warm freeform" which i like very much since

it's a flowing, colorful and not static preset it looks almost biomorphic but tho i like

this preset i think it's very boaring as far as looking on it 4 more then a minute.

"fall from grace" very gracy preset indeed beautifull dark shaded colors and movement and

the bordering wall-like-SSC add 2 the preset that cool colosium effect but yet again i

think something is still missing in turning that preset 2 amazing ;) (Wink)

speaking of amazing "semicubist" is that preset i really liked it as far as the amazing

SSC that uses a great coloring and prespective changes that make him look very cool looking

3DSSC, the BG is very simple and boaring but i guess that it's very hard 2 make a good

looking BG 4 that SSC :) (Smile)

"phonic formation" yet another amazing SSC based preset that 4 this time i agree that

should have left out with out the BG concern :) (Smile)

"bend the rainbow" yet another cool flowing preset tho this time i like it even more then

the prev since it has a much simpler concept and a great coloring using a good

fade in-fade out DM which makes the colours look more stylish and something else that i

can't put my fingure on it, damn, anyway very cool 8-) (Cool)

"life as a cube" ? i was sure it was in the E2 since it was a long time ago and not in my

Top Recent StandAlone Presets folder, anyway nothing much 2 say since i think everybody

already know this great SSC based preset that made everybody's jaw 2 drop 4 sometime :) (Smile)

- That's basicly my favs tho most of the other presets that i didn't mentioned here r

very good but they just didn't made me go saying : "WoW" :) (Smile)

- Overall : A great pack tho i liked your other packs more but still it gets my

thumbz up award 4 it's cool technique in the SSCs mostly Thumbs Up

- +fav
