Operation Rainfall as a campaign is over.
Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower have all been confirmed for America.
Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the greatest video games ever created. Or should I say that it is a masterpiece of entertainment. I was captivated and in awe for nearly 300 hours, with many more hours to come spent on the bodies of Bionis and Mechonis. A sincere thank you goes out to Monolith Soft for creating this work of art, and also to Nintendo, for deciding against their will and letting this game see the light worldwide.
The Last Story was a joy to play, and I must give gratitude for Mistwalker and the staff at AQ Interactive for developing this amazing game. Also, a special thank you goes out to XSEED Games for going above and beyond by creating a special limited edition for this wonderful title on top of giving it a chance.
As for Pandora's Tower, while XSEED just recently announced that they will be publishing the game this Spring, I've had the privilege of playing an imported copy of the game. It is a fantastic original IP from Ganbarion, and I hope this serves as inspiration for them to develop even more unique and interesting titles in the future. And to XSEED Games, once again, thank you for having faith in the vocal minority. Let's hope our collective wallets can match our voices.
A final congratulations goes to Operation Rainfall - the staff behind the scenes organizing the campaign and keeping it strong for so long and the thousands of people across the internet that joined in as we wrote letters, sent in plastic swords, bombarded the internet with petitions and pleas, and followed us from a nobody group on IGN to the niche-dedicated website that we have since become. While Operation Rainfall certainly were not the sole deciding factor in the decision to localize these games, the evidence is overwhelming that sales were spurred on by the free marketing provided by Operation Rainfall, and that is what really matters - the games came, and the games sold above expectation. For that, thank you.
I'm not going to delete this account now that the campaign is over, but I definitely won't be posting anymore "campaign material". I still need my account so I can post a few things I need online every now and then and when I need to view the occasional mature image
So, a lot of thanks goes out for some great memories!
