How to: Paint with Contact Paper

Another question I get asked a lot is "How do you paint so perfectly?" usually in reference to my Trainer White's cosplay and the apron from my Malon cosplay from Legend of Zelda. The answer: I make contact paper stencils. Then I get asked, "What's that, and how do I make them too?" Welp! Here's a quick tutorial explaining just that! Enjoy! :D

You can buy contact paper at most hobby shops and home improvement stores. Make sure to get the clear one! The transparency can come in real handy sometimes! :)

Question: What kind of paint did you use to create the pattern?

I used Jacquard neo opaque paints. They are possibly the best paints on earth for fabrics, hahaha. They heat set so make sure to iron them after you're done.

I see! I've seen a lot of other people recommend Jacquard for painting fabrics, but they don't sell it anywhere in retail where I live. ^^; Delivery isn't a very good option for me, either. I settled for another heat set fabric paint, though it was a bit pricey. But thank you anyways for the tutorial!
