These are animated cartoon characters that debuted on American television in 1965.
Left to right:
Jeannie - as seen in the opening title sequence from I Dream of Jeannie
Sinbad Jr. - Sinbad Jr. and his Magic Belt
Atom Ant & Secret Squirrel - The Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show
DoDo - DoDo, The Kid from Outer Space
Roger Ramjet - Roger Ramjet
JOT - JOT
Captain Fathom - Captain Fathom
Larry, Curly Joe & Moe - The New 3 Stooges
Ringo - The Beatles
Milton the Monster - Milton the MonsterA little background:
First of all, I know I Dream of Jeannie was a live-action sitcom. But I love the animated opening title sequence, so I wanted to add her in this drawing.
Of course, Hanna-Barbera is still coming up with new series: Atom Ant (who is a superhero), Secret Squirrel (who is a Bond/spy parody) and Sinbad Jr. (which is an action/adventure series).
This is also the year when TV animation saw the first animated versions of real, living people with The Beatles and The New 3 Stooges. But, while the Beatles characters were voiced by regular voice actors, The Stooges (Moe, Larry, Curly Joe) characters were actually voiced by the REAL Moe, Larry and Curly Joe.
From what I've seen online, it looks like JOT first appeared as a segment on the children's program Peppermint Place.
The DoDo series was animated by a British studio, but used American voice actors and aired in both the UK and USA.
Then there's Captain Fathom, which used very limited animation the same way Clutch Cargo did a few years earlier.
I'm a HUGE Stooges fan, so obviously The New 3 Stooges was my favorite cartoon from this year.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you want to see more, check out the "History of TV Animation" section of my gallery.

I'm so glad you added Milton the Monster here, Milton needs more love, such an underrated show.
