Wait. I think when they were making this, they got so caught up in Logain's epic-ness that there's a 3-legged horse. Well, if the horse is capable of pulling the lovely reds and Logain whilst he recites some poetry to his adoring fans, then the horse can do whatever it wants.
Bantering aside, this is truly amazing.

HAhaha, for some reason this looks so much like "YOOO! LET'S GO TO THE PARTY! WE HAVE LADIES IN RED AND I'M FABULOUS IN A CAGE! SOMEONE WANT TO JOIN?" xD

Sorry, got carried away. I love the design for Red's. They usually in fanarts are clad from head to toes but I like this approach. And Logain looks really good. Even if more than a little deliriously happy xD

LOL.

Yes, when this was printed the art department covered up the Reds alot more, as per the story.  But here on DA I can show them how I painted 'em!

Yeah in the book it was described as having rows of Warders guarding the Aes Sedai.
But otherwise awesome job.

All done under the direction and approval of the art-directors of the RPG book. Their only issue with this was the girls needed more clothes...

Incredible. Your images convey the story -- which is pretty cool on its own -- but also the POWER and the EMOTION of the story, which is downright exceptional!

The horses look a bit creepy.

The one on the far right has a shark eye and the one to the left seems to have three legs and has a face closer to a humans'.

I like the style though

Fair enough- horses are always tricky and this one is from well over ten years ago... Thanks for commenting.

Wow, to run into on dA is like meeting a celebrity on the street :) I've always admired your work in various RPG books... I especially love the pictures of the Sea Folk/Atha'an Miere you did for the same book as this. :)

Thanks, I've only read passages but Jordan was a wonderful, rich visual writer. I loved doing these for Wizards cause I could go into full classical fantasy mode, not worrying about the edgy, outrageous look they wanted for 3rd ed. D&D....

Oh wow. I haven't read the series, but this image clearly has a lot of power, and I like the use of the random effects of traditional painting to add to the atmosphere. Nice contasting use of red also, on those dresses. Was this for a job or personal work?

Thanks! This was for the role playing game based on the series, from Wizards of the Coast (the magic cards guys) This was probably one of the first paintings that employed splattering throughout.
