So after three+ weeks of waiting, I got the print proof of my 100 RPB art book back and found that the printer eff'd it up in a few ways. Back to the drawing board. I need to revisit a lot of its layout.

It's a bummer that things didn't turn out perfect with the proof, but it's good that you caught the problems... and you're making progress! That's the point of proofs, right -- to iron out any issues before you say, "Make tons more that look just like this." :) Keep rockin' and rollin'! :D

You're right, this is far from the end of the road. Just gotta keep adjusting until it's perfect!

Ka-Blam seems to have a similar policy, as they acknowledged the problem (the cover was double printed because they inadvertently added the cover as both a cover file and interior file) and are sending me a revised proof free of charge. But there were some unexpected cropping errors that were partly my fault, partly theirs (I wanted my images to be full bleed, so they instructed to make the images go all the way to the edges, but by doing so, some of the top edges were cropped off) so this project has a ways to go before it's go time.

Oh what?  Man that really SUCKS!

If the printer eff'd it up, why is it on you to redo the layout?  I think it should be on them to not suck!

I'm going to contact them about it, but I'll probably have to get a reprint at cost.
