I know you've set aside comics for the meantime, but even so, your ability to make a crisp and easy-to-read page is evident in this rough work. Something I look for in a comic is a sort of instant scan-ability- that I can glance over a page and know where it's going. Then I can go back in depth and get a better feel for the action. I feel this page achieves that.

I look back on this often, and every time I do, I ask myself if I would be better off just submitting to making comics. I enjoyed drawing it; this was the first creation that made me fall in love with Manga Studio's rough pencil, which is the main thing I draw with now. I often consider that maybe my problem wasn't comics themselves, but what I was making comics about that caused me frustration, and if I stuck to drawing comics just like this, with just a bit of cleaning up and maybe even skipping the colors, I could probably make much more progress than I have been as of late.

Yeah, that's my problem with comics, too- all the effort around them quickly saps any of the fun. There's all sorts of little details that have to be dealt with, or the end product just looks off.

You must have a huge monitor...it's pretty clear on my Surface's 1920x1080 resolution screen and on my 1440x990 resolution desktop monitor. But I'll go ahead and make it larger.

I have the same resolution on a 32 in monitor. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Haha, thanks! It's all thanks to my new toy. I can create digital art anywhere, faster and more efficiently than ever before...

Now I have to remember the old Spider-Man adage... with great power comes great responsibility! :spidey:

It feels great to draw on. The screen's a little small and it gets pretty warm after extended use, but overall it's a wonderful device for digital artists...I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to create digital art on the go.
