Yup. Could have been better, but I wasn't quite able to conjure up proof of that, so yeah.

Again, lots of great, but still natural action.

The flat side view would have been much less interesting. You really handle well a complex seies of moevements.

Thanks. It would have been a lot easier had I gone with a flat side view, but I didn't want to. That middle pose gave me no end of trouble. Finding reference wasn't easy either, so there was a lot of making up going on here. I wasn't as confident as I normally am (and that's saying something).

What can I say? The character's design was built word for word based on the client's specifications (with some inspiration from my Shauntia character).

But hey, there are far worse characters to look like to than Rinoa.

Oh, and now you've inspired me to go back and watch the Dead Fantasy videos too.

Of course there are. I'm not saying you're doing a bad job. It's just that I can't help but think of Rinoa every time I look at her.

Even though it's a weak entry in the series, me and Final Fantasy VIII had some good times together...

Personally, I loved VIII. The battle system was confusing at first, and story got crazy in the last act, but I loved the setting and the character designs, Rinoa included. I put it just behind FFVI and VII in personal preference.
