-Split Duck- by Dualmask -Split Duck- by Dualmask
Another martial arts commission for an off-dA client. Did this from start to finish today except for the rough layout...trying to beat procrastination.

I guess I'll take a break now.

Nice work, again! I noticed in the earlier picture you mentioned a desire to exaggerate the action a bit more. I think this looks fine with the more "real" feel to the action, but you could always try something more exaggerated later. The hair movement on the lower character is very interesting- almost feels a bit iconic.

Thanks! Actually I think my client prefers these shots more or less down-to-earth and not too over the top. The next one I'm working on is a little more motion-based, but still grounded in reality. I do want to try drawing more action-packed imagery eventually, and even if it doesn't entail these commissions, I'll cut loose eventually.

This is very good man. The protagonist is a beast! She really gets it in:nod:

Thanks! I'm only responsible for drawing her attacks...I'm sure the other artists involved are making the other characters kick butt (including hers!) just as well...I guess. (Haven't seen any of the other works in the set.)

Great action shot here again, great sense of motion. I love the way you did the shading on the green parts of the outfit of the fighter on the right!

Quite a lot, I'm afraid. ^^; Currently I have six more to do for him that are already paid for, and there may be another set after that...

Some would say having too many commissions is a great problem to have. Others would say it's just a problem. I don't really know where I stand. =p

Thanks! It was fun to do. This series of commissions reminds me that there's a lot more I can draw besides girls posing for the camera. :)
