Rain Stacey:Overload Bio by Dualmask Rain Stacey:Overload Bio by Dualmask
Been a bit too long since I worked on my WCL characters. Rain is a key figure in one of the story's major subplots, the rivalry between story headliner Quinn and his best friend turned greatest enemy, Keith Pierce.

Did most of the line art for this drawing with Sketchbook Pro 6, rather than Photoshop, which is more and more becoming my go-to tool for digital drawing.

Very cool design! With that pink hair, you've added an anime element to it, sure to draw in that Sakura, fan base! Sakura is from Naruto, btw.

In this case it was meant to be just dye, but WCL does have a lot of anime inspiration. :D Yeah, I'm familiar with that Sakura, though I've never spent any reasonable time watching Naruto. I've got maybe 26 episodes on DVD here in the house that I just never watched because I don't like subtitled anime...

Naruto is a really, really good story...in the manga. The anime, in order to make money has a LOT of filler that's stupid and I can't recommend watching it. You've done yourself a favor by skipping it. Maybe they'll do a version of just the story one day, dubbed.

The proportions, for the love of mike the proportions!

her abdomen is faaar too long and the thinnes of the hips worsen the impression! :o

It's a damn shame, it looks nice but those mistakes cost you big for the picture :(

I guess it's a little off. Didn't intend to ask for crits on this; I keep forgetting to turn that off for these bios because the point is just to get the design down.

I can imagine but for this kind of search focus more on rough drafting than finished drawings. Like this you will produce more and be more focused on creativity than beauty shots.

However i can understand your reaction, but always stay focused on proportions, it's a golden rule especially for you as you deal with hero kind of characters.

Proportions certainly are important.
