-Meet the Circles- by Dualmask -Meet the Circles- by Dualmask
By FAR the most unorthodox commission I've ever done. I wasn't even sure what to title this one.

Also quite fun.

A collection of characters belonging to :iconsimplecomics:: Marvin (upper left), Zoe (top right), Tom (mid right), Harold (lower left) and Chief. Because characters don't get much simpler than circles with eyes, I figured five of them was worth the cost of one single human character commission.

Hope you like!

Hooked this up while watching Archer. That show is such a riot.

Haha, very nice. Love the expression on the purple circle.

Nice work- they are very stylized, which can pose a challenge in of itself. The lines are clean, the colors too, along with the tones. You've put together a nicely composited image in terms of position of characters and overall layout.

Thanks! I thought it was a cool contrast to go desaturated and square in the background as opposed to the bright round characters.

It is quite unorthadox, however the combination of colors, lighting, and emotions of the circles makes this a very appealing and fun-loving picture to look at. I can see why it was quite enjoyable :D

Yeah. It was quite charming and dare I say easy to do. There is a small part of me that has this love for the simplest of cartoon styles. Back when I was in school my character design teacher tried to get me to channel that and give up on my "boring" human characters in exchange for characters like these and cartoon cats and dogs. That...didn't work out.

Well going for very simple cartoon styles can be a nice change of pace sometimes. Now making them appealing is the challenge in it. ;)
