Korra by Dualmask Korra by Dualmask
Quick drawing of Korra I did today as a warm up. I've been doing a lot of digital work lately so it's been a minute since I penciled something "naturally" and I was feeling a little rusty, so yeah.

I've been trying to make myself draw her for a while, trying to break down my resistance to drawing fan art.

I may color this with markers.

Korra Nickelodeon...right?

Nice work- I really like the effects in the background, and the stonework is interesting. Oh, and I also really like the belt with how it's both drawn and shaded. Nice work on that!

Thanks! Glad you dig it. I recently realized I forgot an extra piece of fabric that's supposed to hang down behind where the knot is--something to fix when the time comes to go digital.

Pretty decent cartoon, if you're into that sort of thing. :)

Actually I measured with my fingers..the head is find but the breasts are sitting very low...

I actually think the head is kind of small given that the character isn't especially large; it makes her look much bigger than she should be to me. And yeah, you're right about the breasts too. Maybe this was a little TOO quick a drawing...

Can you move things around in Photoshop, and then print it on good paper, then use markers? Would markers smug the printer ink?

I could probably tweak the pencils in PS, but given that it's traditional and there are a lot of things overlapping in her head area... ehh I'm better off just going digital. Even though I DID try hard to keep these pencils clean...

I noticed the pencils were so clean, they looked inked too.

Korra ftw! Can't wait to see it colored. Just one small thing, I think the head needs to be a tad larger. I like all the elements coming up at onces. Looks awesome!

Hmm, you might be right about the head. Drat. That kills the chance to color it with markers. Gonna have to ink it digitally now.

Yeah, that's something traditional art...or rather my skills with traditional art--can't match. The power to make glowy-ness in PS. :D
