Elise Vega:Icebrand Bio by Dualmask Elise Vega:Icebrand Bio by Dualmask
In the spirit of , I have completed another WCL character bio. I hope to make a sheet like this for every character in the story.

Not-so-fun fact: I've never been 100% confident in the design of this particular character. Though her overall importance to the plot is moderate at best, she's gone through some dramatic changes, more so than most of the other characters.

In the end I decided I wanted her (and her brother Larcen) to have some sort of samurai influence in their armor.

Here's her brother!

Thanks! I'm happy that I came up with a design that's both simple and fitting to the WCL theme. :)

I thought I did a pretty nice job with her, but it's gotten so few comments I wondered if anyone agreed.

I'll say it's a great design and add that your inking and colors are also top notch. There are a few aesthetic things that are hard to pull off that you didn't quite capture. It took a moment for me to realize she was female, but once I did, it actually made me like it more. This is one grade A idea.

I tried hard to tone down her femininity. I wanted her to look female of course, but not too feminine; trying to break the stigma that every WCL character is built from a template. I guess that worked against the design.

Oh no. Nothing seems static about your WCL! All I see is cohesive! I had to work to get my G7 to look like they belonged together. Your doing a great job on your designs.

I'm glad you feel that way. I think the fact that the suits are all supposed to be cut from the same basic design no matter the manufacturer (kind of like a cellphone I guess) translated into a certain...genericness about the whole thing. So I'm seeking a middleground. They need to look cohesive...yet distinct.
