Playing with more and more After Effects and 3DS Max animation stuff and felt my X-Bomber model would look great animated now that it is finished with BrainCom, Mainbody and Legtrack.

However, since we can't add video files on dA (without invitation and I don't like Flash movies) I've uploaded a small animated gif sample of the finished animation, be sure to check out the full video on Youtube - [link]

I hope you like it X-Bomber fans. :D

Why not request for a movie invite? if you can upload to youtube, you can upload to DA as well and (I just watched the youtube version) this puppy really belongs here! It's a sweet animation, especially the start with the lighting from below...

HAW HAW HAW!!!

Seriously this is a quality effort and shows what we the 'small people' can pull off.

Now love to see this talent transplanted into your works :D

All in good time my friend. All in good time.

I think it turned out quite well over all, but I'm unimpressed with my lack of ability to make it truly stunning. Don't get me wrong I like it I just wish I could make it look better.

I guess the old saying you're your harshish critic is true, and it certainly is for me in this case.

Indeed - the questions are - how? What is the "stunning" you are looking for?

How does something on par with the new BSG sound? That's what I'd have like to do with these models.

Not Hollywood studio level stunning but at least decent TV show level.

But even that's far beyond my skills. :(

From what I learn its not exactly the software but the camera.

Some bloke did the SFX for a film called MONSTERS with a home computer - it was the cameras that gave it the edge.
