If you're a fan you'll know what this is...

That iconic moment in episode 2. The X-bomber, badly damaged by Makara's forces in episode 1, crash lands on the lunar surface and with imperial Astrofighters swarming over her, the fate of the X-Bomber looks bleak.

But Professor Hagen was no fool when he designed the X-Project and Dr Benn knows every tool at his disposal, so he utilises one of X-Bombers most powerful weapons against the Imperial Alliance fleet.

The X-Bomber maybe be Down, But (she sure as hell is) Not Out.

Glad you approve. :D I think this is my best one yet.

I'm very pleased with the way the reflection on the lunar surface came out even though it was a massive cheat with a hue/sat adjusted cloud layer done in photoshop.

I had to do this image though because it's the first time you see the beam lasers in the show and I hadn't done an image of it with neck open.

For my next trick how about a mini movie of it actually deploying? Yes it really does work as in the show. :D

Indeed - and yer getting better - but hey, keep the secrets or you will spoil the show ;)

If you can pull off the lasers like that in the vid - I will be more than impressed - I'll be godsmacked!

Well I dunno about pulling them off like that in a video, as they were done in photoshop, but I think I might be able to do it in After Effects as they're very similar in the way the handle stuff with them both being Adobe software.

Of course I may be able to do something even cooler with it being animated. Will have to see what happens.

If I can just work out how to export camera tracking from 3DS Max to After Effects I can do something awesome with the neck opening as the camera pans round the ship, but every time I read one of the tutorials on it it like trying to read Kanji. :?
