WOS - Princess Daisy

"Thank God you're here! I mean, you're a plumber, right?"

WOS = Women of Science.

I love Super Mario, and I love bad movies. Thus, another B/Cult movie entry in the Women of Science series; Princess Daisy. (Who was apparently hatched and is some sort of evolved dinosaur-human from another dimension? Lol. This movie is gold.)
She's a paleontologist and catalyst of the plot of the lovely Super Mario Bros Movie (1993).

Anyhoo. This may be one of the only fanarts you'll see for this movie. Enjoy, and remember to trust the fungus.

:star: Now available as a print, iphone case, t-shirt and more!

It's not really good and not like the games that much, but i honestly like it. But go ahead and watch it, in my opinion i actually like it even if it's a bad movie XD
I saw it way back when i was a kid, and even if it's considered as a bad movie based on a video game, i still like it. I kinda see the 1993 mario movie as a guilty pleasure XD
But also! There will also be a upcoming animated movie of mario! Not sure what year it will come out but i am very excited for the new movie!

There's fanart for EVERYTHING! Even for films/books/tv shows/cartoons that have no right to have fanart.

Incredible! We'd come to expect not much on dA, but now and then there's a true gem of fan art. Today yours absolutely lifted my spirits! Seeing anyone honor the film through fan art always does, though your acknowledgement of its cult legacy is all the more pleasing!

If you're interested, we would would adore seeing another piece of Daisy, though this time in either her original paleontology student attire, or the "freedom fighter" look at the end of the film, featuring a color-coded "princess" jumpsuit. We feel you could do just as well with those outfit designs! Paid commissions, of course!

Also, do you have a Facebook page from which we could share this piece to our own? If not, could we gain permission to repost to our page, with credit to all contact pages?

Aw! Such charming artwork for such a strange film, haha. Been years since I watched it, but when I saw this picture, I recognized her character instantly. And Yoshi, of course.

P.S. And I recognized her immediately, even though it's been years since I last saw this and not seeing the great shadow of the guys/logo behind her.  Well done!

As silly as it was (and I know a good chunk of the actors regretted being a part of it), I actually enjoyed it.  Just silly, no brain candy for those days you don't want to think too hard.  ;)

I actually really liked the SMB movie. But then, I approached it with the perception of it as an AU. Same goes for the DBZ movie and a couple others that are disliked because "it's not like the original."

Even Shyamalan's Avatar. I just perceive that as a bit by the Ember Island Players.

Ah so glad to know I'm not the only one who appreciates this movie.
Don't think I've ever seen fan art of movie Daisy (except maybe in her final scene get up). So glad you included Yoshi and that you've combined his movie and game appearance to make him a little cuter. I'd rather he'd look a bit more cartoony/cutesy than the Jurassic Park knock off look in the movie.

Nice work. I wasn't a big fan of this movie, but I did like the cast. You've done Daisy and Yoshi justice.

Yeah, I didn't think the cast was bad either. The rest of the movie, though...

I've never seen the SMB movie, so that synopsis of Daisy's character was brilliant. Also, this is some cool art, nice bright colors and clean lines. Keep up the good work! :)
