WOS = Women of Science.
Another '60s lady (and my 60th entry in the WOS series)! This is Julia Baker from 1968's "Julia" starring Diahann Carroll. She's an RN and a single mother.
It's a super sweet little show and I wish they played reruns on TV. I guess it's sort of forgotten by this point. :0

Julia Baker (JULIA), Uhura (STAR TREK), and Peggy Fair (MANNIX) were an important development -- African American actresses in starring or costarring roles in major American TV series. While it is true they were all in support professions -- nurse, communications, and secretary-- they were the first black female characters in American Television history where were not cooks or maids.
