Kanikakuni by DrowElfMorwen Kanikakuni by DrowElfMorwen
The Memorial of Isamu Yoshii, Kanikakuni in Gion Kobu, Kyoto, Japan.

In English the poem goes as such;

"No matter what they say,
I love Gion.
Even in my sleep
The sound of water
Flows beneath my pillow"

(Japanese)

"Kanikakuni
Gion wa Koishi
Neru toki mo
Makura no Shita no
Mizu no Nagaruru"

Gorgeous ensemble! It looks light and elegant. I can't remember the exact date, but isn't the memorial holiday for Isamu Yoshii coming up soon, the one in which maiko and geiko present the memorial with chrysanthemums? If so, I hope you get to see it!
