beautiful shot! i like the contrast between the green of the plant and the darker background colors. The sharpness brings out every little detail of the plant. :+fav:

great shot! I like how the flower is bright in comparison to the background... also perfectly sharp :) and the not-really-centered composition makes it really interesting  good work :)

well come and think about it, I wasnt going for centering the main plant like the oval thing... but also the "tentacles" so It could relate to the title... the Octopus.
thank you

I know, I just pointed out that it makes it special :)
you're welcome ;)

I like the glowing effect this one has going...and the composition as well. :D The brightness of the sky in the background is a little distracting though. I like the brightness and details of the greens.

Yeah I know what you mean about the blue in the background... it bothered me too for a while... but since my cam can absorb tons of light in the macro function... I'm pretty much have my hands tied on this one. However I do have one where the blues are not so overexposed but the glowing aspect of the flower is not present. You see I was put in a position where I had to choose... and I chose this one... hope it's not that distracting tho.
Thanks for your constructive criticism... I'm always open for that ;)

Wow is all I can say...without the title it would have been just a photo of a plant, but with it...oh my, funny as hell (and very appropriate) :D

What a wonderful piece--a great title for the subject, a great angle to give the subject so much motion without moving at all. And the dark background makes the bold green pop off the screen. Fantastic capture!
