Squishy!
This week was experimenting time with different kinds of shading on my new emote. Normally I'm using a shading method that a lot of emoticonists are using, and more and more are doing so as well. (light coming from the left top corner and a bit on the right lower corner and visa versa)
Atm I'm kinda tired of it, doesn't feel like my emotes are unique qua shading
I figured to let most of the light come from the top, creating a different effect, alongside some usage of darker colors unlike the light colors that I normally use.
I had a very small period that I've used this method, and it seems I've fallen back to it again ^^
I also went back to the classic emote eyes since more people also use the famous big emote eyes. I had some unique big eyes amongst other big eyes, but some people started to copy my eyes as well, kinda disappointing, but also a bit flattering... confusing ey?
Classic emote eyes like this
are timeless. It's how it all started.
I played with the shading on them as well, and while doing so I found out that along with the new shaded body and shaded eyes/mouth it looked rather squishy and jelly like... squishy candy!
So that's why made his body squish along with it
What's your view on this new style, and the whole shading/animation...
