Been on a bit of an ST binge this last week and got back to this story. It is odd how funny it is to play the battle theme from "Amok Time" on a loop on this story, or at least once right on the point where the apparent homage to it goes totally derailed and becomes more like "Firefly" in Trek... only that the plan went smooth.
Again, awesome stories, man.
