:cries:

Without question, Terry Pratchett is my most favourite author of all time, and the one who has influenced and inspired me as a writer more than any other. The world is much dimmer with his passing; he was a genius and a wonderful man. He shall be missed deeply.

I have lost a couple of heroes this past year. One being the one featured in my profile picture, German voice actor Eberhard Prüter.

At least I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Pratchett.

Thanks!

Wish I could say the same for heroes I have lost and equally cared about.

And we have our trifecta. First Leonard Nimoy, then, Harve Bennett, and now, Sir Terry Pratchett.

I've never even read any of the Discworld books. Seen some of the adaptations, though, and they were brilliant.

It's a great, great loss for the world :(

But make your own world a brighter place, and start reading the numerous Discworld novels. They're magic in every sense of the word :D

Thanks for the fave :)

I'll have to find the time to track them down then. To the book depository!

Beautifully done sir, and thank you for turning me on to him.

Somehow, I just know he and Dave are downing a pint or three and having a damn good time. ;)

Now I feel even worse because I haven't read his stuff! I've always wanted to but I just haven't gotten around to it, I always thought he seemed quite an imaginative guy. RIP good sir. I hope to be even have as good of a writer as he was someday!

So well said.

His books are snubbed by the elite but are jems of work; Thud is a great read.

In his time he highlighted the disease that robbed us of him; Alzheimer's.

As his final note says - Death "Well we now go together"

Excellent as always sir :) he's be proud - I know it
