While attending a party at a comic book store, I was introduced to a self-published comic book called DOCTOR LEVIATHAN. The book, created entirely by a man named James Matthew Banks, Jr. is easily one of the most bizarre, terrible, beautiful, inspiring creations I've ever encountered. The crude, but evocative art tells the odd story of a bunch of really evil, fucked up bad guys who run afoul of...well, y'know, it's not that important. What is important is how creative, weird, and detailed these bad guys are. Their designs...well, if Jack Kirby and Clive Barker could somehow mate and produce an insane 6 year old with a quill pen for an arm,...
