I was told to blend! So I did.
I really want this to come out good--my digital art always seems to come up short. I like the way it looks but I do think it's lacking? Maybe I'm wrong.
Your honest & most critical opinion, please.

I apologize for the .jpg quality, I can't seem to submit .png's anymore. & now tinypic won't upload the .png either. :sigh:

Nice colorwork. The hair has a cool effect which looks like blood splattering! :)

Awesome! December looks so hot. The cover looks great, and gives off this great vibe. I'll be editing the story either tonight or tomorrow.

Okay, perhaps what I said wasn't 'necessarily' the best tactic to go under. What I was hoping to see when you blended the character with the background was an even degree of contrast leveling between the character and the background.

Actually, here's a better idea: Look through your favorite manga books, and try to gain some sort of idea as to how that artist made their characters blend with the background. And if that does little help from what I said, then just go back to what it was originally and maybe you'll figure something out eventually~

Wait wait wait! [link] How's this? I messed with lighting. Is it any better?
By the way, I'm drawing you a picture, lol, you're really helping me out here so tell me what to draw. xD

From a reader's point of view, it might hurt the eyes if too bright of a red, but that's a nice idea though. And if that idea doesn't pan out, then just keep it like as it is. Overall, in the end, just remember this:

It's not about what other people think about your work; it's about you think about your work. If you feel it's good enough, then it's good enough~

Because after all, the true main purpose in drawing is to make yourself happy, not making others happy. Sure, making people happy is nice and all, but where's the love if you don't love it yourself?

So going back on topic, the lighting effect (just seeing as it is right now) is a 'meh' to me, and would just prefer it as it was originally, unless the lighting effect can be manipulated somehow, then yeah, go with the lighting effect.

And really, you don't need to draw me a picture~ ^^; But if you must, then draw me something simple; like a cat girl in a school uniform. She can be in any pose and the background can be left blank; and feel free to do this whenever you have the chance to draw it. If you have personal matters that you need to finish up, then do those first~

So good luck to finding that ';perfect' cover page, and thanks for drawing me a picture~ :)
